In the first 4 years I visited my clients - mainly elderly people, some over 90, with Dementia or other serious illnesses, physical or mental disabilities - in their own homes every day, so I exactly knew their life, their daily activities, their special needs and requirements in clothing, feeding, moving, personal care, how to communicate face to face with them - and how to follow policies and procedures. Then I have worked as a Live-in Carer for 5 years - providing the same kind and level of care for a similar clientele as before, only dedicated to one particular person in their home. At present days I work a few hours a day to find a good balance between working with elderly people and spending my time with my family and my hobbies. This balance helps me to be that patient, kind and cheerful person who likes her caring work, her „clients”, and is glad of making their life easier and happier. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

HA4 6LF 175788 My name is Anoja. I am kind, having good patience, listening and hard worker. My home country is sri lanka. My mother language is Sinhalese. I can speak English (including writing and reading). I studied for 13 years. My school education was completed in 1982, after that I did a stenography course in an institution called polytechnic, after I completed that course I worked intermittently as a steno/typist clerk in five companies from 1983 to 2012 in sri lanka (more details are mentioned in my application). In 2014 I came to united kingdom and joined as a care worker and got that training. Then I worked in three organizations in the same sector (in short, the work that was entrusted to me and done responsibly - personal care, to get in and out of bed (lifting / moving) using hoists / personal hygiene by showering / bathing / to get dressed and undressed / light general domestic duties as detailed in the care plan or instructed by the management / cooking / feeding / medication and maintaining "mar charts". I am currently still working as a live-in-carer one of the best care agencies in the uk. I am very happy doing this job. that's because my mother is also about 98 years old. even if my mother is not with me, I can get that happiness by looking the elderly people. SL2 5TY 268547 In 2021, at the peak of the COVID19 pandemic, I decided to undertake a health care assistant course. Coming from a finance academic background, this was a major shift from any other course I had done in my life. However, it was necessitated by the need to volunteer at a nursing home which had recently opened in my community. I come from a culture where we highly value the elders in our community, and the chance to interact with them, attend to their daily needs and ensure they are able to carry on with life as comfortably as possible was my driving force. This is only something I was during on my free time; little did I know that it would become a full-time job. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work as a health care assistant in various capacities. I have worked in nursing homes, home-based care, worked as a support worker for persons with learning disabilities and also worked as a mental health support worker in a mental & addictions hospital. I love to treat anyone who is under my care with utmost respect and dignity, no different than what I would like any of my close family to be treated by a carer. I customize my care approach based on the client`s specific needs, because I understand that we are all different. In instances where the client already has a care plan, I strictly adhere to the care plan. Finally, I always listen to those placed under my care; it does not matter if they have severe dementia, or mental illness. We all want to be listened to, and one deserves to be patronized. I`m highly experienced in manual handling. Having worked in various nursing homes, I have come across a wide variety of hoists, specially customized to each service user based on their needs. Moreover, my years working in both home care and nursing homes has provided me with loads of experience when it comes to helping service users with their nutrition and dietary needs. On the other hand, working as a HCA in mental health and addictions treatment program, has been life changing for me. It has taught me to be patient and empathetic, and the realization that sometimes all people need is someone who will give a listening ear without passing judgment. I`m always eager to learn new skills, and working at a new station or with a new client is always an opportunity to learn something new. Furthermore, I`m always keen to learn new things in my role as a health care assistant so that I can continue providing the best service to my clients. I`m flexible to work with both male and female clients. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

UB8 2YH 114619 My carer experience dates back to 2002 when I worked in a care home in Bournemouth . This was just for a year. I went back to Zimbabwe in 2003 Dec. However when I married my current wife I decided to come back to UK and live with her. I joined a care company in July 2021 at their East Hill place as a support worker. Here we cared for various individuals with different difficulties. After that I joined an agency as a Live in Carer. I was posted to a farm in Dorset where I worked with one 90 year old male who had Catheter care, early stages of dementia, and physical difficulties. I worked here for 3months then took a break to go back home. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}
