"I am a registered pharmacist originally from the Philippines, currently working as a pharmacy technician in a private hospital. I was trained as a carer and have experience working in a residential home. Outside of my profession, I have extensive experience helping people with disabilities, assisting them with their daily errands, food shopping, taking them to their appointments, cleaning their homes, providing personal care, cooking, assisting with their administration, gardening, managing their medication, and supporting them with everything they need. I have been in this country for many years, and I still hold the value of caring for elderly or sick people in need. I visit many friends of mine who are unable to care for themselves, and they often call me when they need help. I do not charge them because I see caring for them as an investment; one day, I too may reach that age or require assistance. I want someone to be there for me, to care for me in return. I treat them like my own family, like my own parents. This also provides me with a great opportunity because I enjoy and love what I do. For instance, when I cook or bake for them, I apply my knowledge, and I find happiness in seeing their homes clean and smelling good. Additionally, I love making them feel beautiful by doing their hair or applying a bit of makeup if they desire. I also provide manicure/pedicure services and give massages; not only do they feel relaxed, but I do too, as I use my talents to bring them joy. In my spare time, I enjoy painting with acrylics and oils. I believe every individual deserves to be cared for with respect and dignity. In my work at the hospital, I have up-to-date training as part of my compliance, including health and safety and first aid for adults and children. I possess skills in using hoists, catheters, and PEG feeding. For the safety and security of my clients and those around them, I have uploaded my COVID vaccination card. Additionally, every Tuesday and Friday, we conduct our own COVID tests and upload the results online. I have no allergies, so if you have pets around, I am happy to take care of them, as long as it is not a lion. Please note that this is not my full-time job; however, I do have plenty of time available in the afternoons if I work early shifts, as I finish at 4:30 pm. Most of my weekends are also free.
