"Hello !! and thank you for clicking onto my profile, I would like to introduce myself as a very positive, respectful genuine person who has always seen the best in people and situations throughout life. I love to help people in any aspect of life, supporting and caring for someone is second nature to me and I personally get so much back from doing so. I would say my best attributes are to make people feel completely comfortable and at ease, cared for and supported. I also feel very humbled and blessed to be a part of someone’s life who needs help, care, assistance, support and attention or just great company with a good sense of humour (so I’m told)? I looked after my lovely mum whilst she was going through cancer 12 years ago (now recovered) in all aspects of caring such as dressing, food preparations, medication, changing storma bags, shopping, appointments, general household duties, mental and physical well being, this is when I realised that caring was for me. I then looked after a gent whose wife had just passed suddenly and he in turn had dementia, and again exactly the same care as my mum had and was required until end of life (6 months) and since then I have cared for a wide range of people in their own homes (domicillary) covering all aspects of care work. I also cared for a lovely gentleman with Parkinson’s and dementia, who needed fully assisted support with dressing and undressing, bathroom assistance, catheters, medication prompting, cooking, company and bedroom routine. I currently take care of a two young adults with disabilities and transport them to various venues, appointments, events and day centres. I also take them out to socialise and entertain on a weekly basis. My main role is to teach life skills, and help with emotional and physical support, so that they may integrate with ease in life, and enjoy their life to the fullest and have great fun in doing so. If I can make the slightest bit of difference to someone’s life, then it truly does make me genuinely a happy and humble person inside. 12 years extensive varied experience Happy to discuss available times And Look forward to hearing from you Warmest Jill"

"I believe that health and wellbeing play a role in people 's lives therefore I have always admired people that work in health industry. Growing up as a child I used see my mother taking care of my grandmother as she was getting old and she couldn't support herself. I really appreciated my mother so much because this is where I learned to care for other people in need. I grew up in Zimbabwe, In 2007 I moved to South Africa where I got a job as a carer working privately looking after a lady in her 50s, she had kidney failure. I used to take her to Dialysis 3 times a week and other hospital appointments. I used to do all household chores as well as personal care, I worked for the family for 5years until she passed away that was the reason for leaving. In 2016 I moved to the UK to settle with my family and take time out to decide on my career plan, I realised that my passion lies in helping others. I got a job in 2016 August doing home care, looking after elderly clients in their own homes. Duties included : shopping, personal care, hospital appointments, administering medication, feeding, hoisting, cooking and many more duties. Because my passion is to help people with different age groups and different needs, I decided to look for a job elsewhere but still in the caring industry. I wanted to gain more experience and expand my knowledge in the caring industry. I worked for an agency, where I worked in different nursing homes, I must say I loved it as I gained my confidence and wider knowledge. The job was challenging but I really enjoyed it as it made me stronger and a better carer. 2017 I got a job where I’m currently working and it’s still in care, I do work as a support worker. I look after people with learning disabilities with different age groups, I really enjoy it, duties include : personal care, shopping and day to day activities, administering medication and cooking. I love cooking and in my culture we get taught how to cook when we are young so cooking is not an issue my husband is English so I can cook English food and African meals. I have also started preparing to go to university next year to study nursing. It was always my dream to be a qualified nurse so that I can expand my knowledge in health care industry, and I am also willing to learn new things During my spare time, I enjoy socialising with my friends, eating out and going to the cinema. Going out with my friends allows me an opportunity to make new friends and meet new people. As a sociable person I would relish the chance to utilise these skills in a professional context. I have experience of working with clients that have had catheters and stoma's fitted, this has been learned on the job no formal qualifications have been achieved."
