I am able to quickly build a rapport and I pride myself on having strong working relationships with both the person and their family. Communication is very important when caring for a person who their family has entrusted me with, and I ensure that after every shift, I provide a comprehensive update on all aspects of care and support, whether it be baking a cake, watching a favourite film to managing a particular aspect of their care requirements. The welfare, safety and comfort of the person is key to my approach and I take great care to understand an individual’s needs, likes and dislikes. At all times, my work ethos is to put the person at the heart of everything I do and the care I provide.
