I have worked in care since 2015 caring for a wide age range of people from children to elderly. My experience has taken me to several different care settings from nursing homes, live in care, and residential care. I have extensive experience caring for people with Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Behavioural Issues, Depression, and Palliative Care. My approach to care is person centred. Companionship and friendship are essential qualities for building trust and familiarity with my clients. The safety and wellbeing of whom I care for is a top priority. These values I hold have allowed me to build fantastic relationships with the families and people whom I've cared for. I am an upbeat person who loves to live life with a smile on my face. I love all things creative and holistic and enjoy sharing these ideas and activities where possible with my clients. I'm passionate about this world and exploring different cultures. I care deeply about current affairs and how they affect society. My interests cultivate the spiritual outlook I have on life, which I get to exercise at my local church and Quaker meeting. My mother tongue is English and as such I speak, read and write fluent English. I am computer literate and have excellent communication and time keeping skills. I understand that it has become increasingly harder to find carers to care for your loved ones. The thought of having many faces come and go through the door is a daunting thought. Private Care can ensure that your loved one is building a repour with their carer and a familiarity which puts them and yourself at ease. I live in Stevenston and am available for care work throughout Ayrshire. The number of hours you book with me for will depend on how far I am able to travel within Ayrshire. Small care packages can be considered closer to where I live, while larger care packages can be considered for locations further afield. I am a kind, passionate, friendly, empathetic soul. Working in care on and off since the 1990's. This was within hospitals, care homes and more recently live in care. Recently I looked after 3 different clients in their home. This was in many situations, including a millionaires house. The people I have helped look after over these years have been very varied. From patients with broken bones, to cancer, copd and more. As well as this I've worked on mental health wards, in some challenging places. My hobbies are watching football, movies, series. I also like to walk, travel and like photography and art. I love music and going to concerts. I got into care as I have looked after my ex partner who had mental health issues and helped look after my grandmother, when I had time , as she lived away from where I lived.
