I have worked with individuals with many conditions including end of life care and I have developed a good understanding of the emotional needs and the concerns that come with being afraid and vulnerable. I have witnessed the emotional effect dementia has on families and loved ones, and I have complete empathy and understanding of the process having had personal experience when my Nan developed advanced dementia; I was with her from the start, sharing her fears, but we still laughed a lot. The love was still there between us & the experience has helped me to understand the different stages the individual and their loved ones go through. I understand how frightening it can all be, but I also know that there are still many happy times to be had and that with a positive outlook and the right care, life will go on. I have an enhanced DBS, liability insurance and I have business insurance on my car so I am able to take clients out. I thoroughly enjoy care work, offering support to the elderly and their families, and look forward to being able to offer support on the Curram platform.
