"My name is Belinda. I have been a carer for over 20 years and a live-in carer for 10 years. I am a family-oriented person, a wife, and a mother of three. I take pride in my work and endeavour to provide the best care for my clients. I understand the value of offering someone the best possible care in the comfort of their own home while maintaining their dignity, independence, and respecting their space. I am willing to learn and can remain calm in very difficult situations. Working as a live-in carer for the past 10 years has taught me how to handle challenging situations in a calm and effective manner. I have worked in some very demanding caring roles, which included end-of-life and dementia care, including dealing with challenging behaviour. I understand the importance of maintaining professionalism in difficult situations. I love cooking and baking, being outdoors, travelling, and reading, especially legal dramas. I enjoy hosting family gatherings; I am a feeder and always want to ensure everybody is comfortable and well-fed. I also enjoy watching crime scene investigation shows and quiz programmes like The Chase, Tipping Point, and Lingo. A day with me as a carer would be client-focused. Having worked in different roles, I can adjust to the needs of my clients. I am a very versatile person and love to explore. I prioritise things that make my clients comfortable and happy, as well as making the job easier and more interesting. I enjoy taking my clients on walks, shopping, and even on excursions for those who are able and interested, to help maintain a normal and engaging lifestyle for them.
