Everyone is great in her/his speciality, being able to satisfy what the client needs, want or expect will make one great, having a good relationship, having a professional bond with your client makes one great. Knowing that the client is smiling, happy, trust me, is free to communicate with me with whatever they want to makes one great. Living with a total stranger day and night and at the end depending on each other makes one great. Being able to listen to and offer helping hands makes one great. Being great is knowing that I am not doing it for money but making that client look and feel great. I have worked in the health and social care setting for nearly ten years. I have worked as a healthcare assistant in the hospital, as a support worker in the community at residential homes and now I am doing live-in. I like to help individual, support them to continue to be able to live independently in the comfort of their homes, care for those who need to be cared for and so on. I like sports like tennis, snooker, watching world cup football, swimming and going for walks including exercising. I prefer to cook meals from scratch and l also like to relax and chill watching some television programmes.
I am kind, hard working and enjoy working closely with others, especially older people. I have 2 years experience of working in the care industry. I work hard to get to know my clients, so I can help them enjoy their interests and hobbies. I am a very patient person. I enjoy my job and like talking to my clients as I perform my duties. For the past 2 years I have been caring for an elderly couple who are 95 years of age. They both have dementia and suffer from anxiety and depression. The lady also has Parkinson’s disease. Both need assistance with personal care, toileting, administering medication, cooking healthy meals, shopping, doing daily physio exercises and chores around the house. I take them out for short walks. They also enjoy going for a drive in my car. Before becoming a carer, I worked in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant for 15 years. I enjoyed working work children. I enjoy reading books. I help my mum with her gardening as she’s quite old and needs help and it gives me a chance to spend time with her and keep her company. I also enjoy going for walks and encourage my mum to come with me too. Please get in touch if you think that I might be able to help you. Thank you
I am a professional support worker with 7 years of experience, I also have a bit of experience in personal care. I am friendly, calm and I have respect for everyone.
