"My name is Nikky, I’m a mother of three children and a grandmother of two. I worked for the NHS for 20 years as a Band 4 Health Care Assistant, looking after older people especially those living with dementia and people with learning and physical disabilities. I now work as a live in carer/PA while still covering bank shifts for the NHS. I have experience in hoisting and medication support. I have worked with doctors and social workers to carry out the assessment for the patient. I absolutely love what I do, looking after people that need my support. I help them with their day-to-day activities including washing, toileting, meal preparation, feeding, making bed, cooking, domestic tasks, medication, admin, taking to appointments/social activities and general errands running. I am a quick learner, and that helps me to settle in to my live-in roles quickly. I use person centred approach with my clients and relate really well with families because I am a good team player. I am friendly, reliable, trustworthy and empathetic. I drive and travel for live-in work throughout the UK as long as travelling expenses are covered both ways by my clients. I do not use my own car for transporting clients however I am happy and able to drive automatic cars only as long as I am covered under the clients car insurance. I am able to cover public holidays at a rate of double time. I am looking for regular clients that I can return to on a rotation, I normally have a settling in period of 1/2 weeks after this period I can discuss with client/clients family members the period of call I can safely deliver. I take great pride in being a skilled, confident cook who truly loves preparing delicious,nourishing meals for others. Over time, I have developed a real passion for food and learned how to create a wonderful variety of dishes from many different cuisines and cooking traditions.whether it hearty home-style favourites, flavoursome international dishes, or lighter, healthy options, I know exactly how to adjust ingredients, seasonings and cooking methods to get the very best results every time. I am constantly comfortable and at ease in the kitchen- I can follow recipes carefully, but I also have the experience and instincts to adapt meals to suit different tastes, dietary needs, or whatever ingredients are available. I pay close attention to every detail: making sure flavours are perfectly balanced, textures are just right, and every meal is cooked safely.
