In my current role at The Priory Ticehurst via Agency, I have gained valuable experience in delivering patient care, Monitoring vital signs, Scoring NEWS, ECG and Observing and monitoring the well-being of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate. Providing specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with Patients, escorting patients on leave, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression. Assists qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all patients. To assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy and procedures at all times.
I excelled in maintaining accurate patient records and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. I am proficient in providing in-patient care including activities of daily living and mobility assistance. Furthermore, I possess excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and their families. I am able to demonstrate effective communication skills with people whose understanding may be impaired. I currently work at The Priory Hospital Ticehurst House which is a acute hospital that support people with the following challenges: Acute mental health Complex mental health needs Physical disabilities Eating disorders A personality disorder Depression Anxiety Bipolar disorder Psychosis Self-harm Sexual offending Substance misuse Schizophrenia Violence and aggression. I have experience of working independently and I understand the importance of teamwork in healthcare and have consistently demonstrated my ability to work cohesively with other professionals to provide the best care possible.
Moreover, I understand what Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 observations involve e.g. frequency of observations and the type of contact with the patient. I understand the importance of completing random and intermittent level 2 observation checks, but ensuring they are relatively evenly spaced out within the hour. I understands the documentation related to patient observations including the importance of the individual care plans and risk assessments and can demonstrate how to record observations accurately and timely. I understands the reasons for therapeutic observation and engagement within the current setting and can explain ways to achieve this. I am able to describe and assess a patients mood, thought content and behaviour using appropriate language

Examples of sharing information where consent is not given could include where there is a risk of serious harm to either myself or other people; there is the danger of serious crime; the patient is mentally incapable of making effective decisions, or the information is shared under implied consent. Of course, if I am successful, the first thing I will do is familiarise myself with all of your policies and procedures, including the rules regarding confidentiality.
