"I have been in the care industry for over 11 years. I have worked with clients with dementia, epilepsy, stoma bag, catheter, hoisting, bed bound, people who are at the end of life, people with a stroke. Most of the time these people are fully dependent on the carer to see them through the day in terms of personal care, dressing in appropriate clothing, medications, incontinence care and meals preparations and feeding. I am available to work at least 3 nights a week and I'm flexible any day of the week except some Saturdays and Sundays. I can travel up to 5-6 miles from my residence. I would prefer to start at 8pm till 7 am. My passion is to see my clients happy and retaining their independence at home while their dignity and respect is observed at all times. "

"Having worked within the healthcare sector for a period of time I have come to understand that through a well structured person centred care plan, individuals and and will live a dignified, meaningful and fulfilling life. Looking after a human being has its challenges as many would agree not everyday is the same and you can never be prepared enough for unknown, but with experience and training I have learnt to respond to difficult situations as calmly as possible whilst maintaining the best interest of those in my care. It is during these years in service that I have developed a compassionate approach, it is important for me to get to know the individual am working with so I can support them appropriately to pursue and enjoy their interests. I chose the health care pathway while caring for my mother who was diabetic and eventually kidney failure, during that time we would spend a lot of time In and out of hospitals taking her for her dialysis sessions. I would sit with her and I would notice a lot of Nursing staff running around doing all that they can to make the patients comfortable, when mum demised I decided I wanted to carry on working supporting others with different health needs.Whenever I support the individual it is of utmost importance that I maintain privacy, dignity, as well as promoting choice and independence. I have had a great opportunity working in different care settings including NHS hospitals, private care homes for the elderly with various diagnoses, supported living for adults with learning disabilities, adults with physical disabilities, mental health disorders, palliative care, as well as end of life care. During my free time I enjoy reading, watching sport, keeping up with the current affairs, cooking and baking. I look forward to hearing from you if you think I could help."
