I am a former nurse, trained in Romania, where I worked for 17 years. Because of my background as a pediatric nurse, I am the person trained in case of an emergency like seizures or any other case. I moved to the UK in 2007 and I started working in a support work/caring environment. I supported individuals with different degrees of physical or learning impairments, degenerative diseases (Dementia/Alzheimer’s) or who were in receipt of palliative care. I kept track of patients/client medication and ensured that the correct dosages were taken at the right times and an accurate log was kept of this data for future use/inspection. I am looking for a live-in care work on a 6 weeks on pattern. Als, the weeks of can be discussed. Through experience and by following the procedure, I have learnt to cope with all cases and provide the support and understanding required for the best possible outcome.

Hi there, thank you for reading my profile! I will be available to take on a new role from May. My hourly rate is based on an eight hour day. I'm based in Guildford (Surrey), 41 years old with a lot of experience as a PA / carer (excellent references available). I've done both live-in and live-out work over the past 10+ years. I’m happy to travel up to 10 miles for a full day shift. Further than this or within London also possible if travel expenses are covered. Ideally I’m looking to do longer shifts 8+ hours. I have a full, clean UK driving licence with business insurance and have driven lots of wheelchair accessible vehicles in the past including in and around central London. I'm a safe and confident driver. Working with many different people has taught me that everyone has different needs and ways of doing things so I always approach a new job with an open mind, ready to listen, learn and do things the way someone else wants them to be done. I'm strong healthy and active and I regularly enjoy going to the gym, swimming and playing tennis. I'm a healthy eater most of the time and enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen. I'm a fully ASA qualified swimming teacher and have an additional qualification to assist disabled swimmers. I consider myself fun and easy to get on with and I enjoy meeting and being around new people. I'm good with children and have worked as a teacher's assistant and swimming teacher in a SEN school. I've used hoists before and also have experience with manual handling and transfers. I’m keen to do further training and develop my skills. I'm reliable, trustworthy, non-judgemental and respectful of everyone. My rates are negotiable depending on the needs of the client, length of shift, and distance travelled.
