I have worked in care for over 40 years. I left school and attended college on a 2 year care course where I gained a City & Guilds certificate in Social Care. I have worked in different care and education settings and with people with varying needs. I gained a City & Guilds stage one in adult tutoring in 2004. I mainly worked with people with learning disabilities but in 2010 worked at a Day Centre in Leicester as Assistant Day Centre Manager for people with acquired brain injury's. Since taking redundancy from there in 2016 I have worked with several clients from their homes. I have supported them to gain access into the community, helped with administrative tasks, cooking, shopping, cleaning etc. I am a happy, kind individual who loves to work with others providing support, encouragement, motivation to live their lives to the full
