It has been my experience that a live-in carer brings so much more than just meeting someone's physical needs. Listening, supporting and encouraging them where possible to maintain their independence is also important. Asking a client what they want to eat, wear or do is vital, often carers make these decisions. I believe with the right carer a person can thrive. In the summer months, I enjoy travelling in my camper van. For now, it’s only been Scotland. I do some photography and enjoy listening to audiobooks either true crime or biographies. If the weather keeps me indoors I up-cycle furniture for family and friends.
