l have 10 years experience as an active carer and support worker in the community. l'm fully insured, enhanced DBS and driving my own car. I was part of the service team providing support and care for the patients discharged from hospitals. In January 2019 I was nominated by Portsmouth City Council, with five other colleagues, to provide care in the community of Portsmouth. This council project was successfully implemented as a new domiciliary care system. As a live in carer I have worked in multiple long or short term placements, as being a self employed healthcare assistant now, l am flexible to work from days to months. I have a caring nature and l took a lot of pride in my work. I have demonstrated strong skills for this career, being trained and qualified in dementia care, paliative care, complex care and care for people with learning disabilities. My trainings are annually updated and I like to make my knowledges available to the people who need it, by doing this job brings me huge contentment and rewards. As personal hobbies are cooking and gardening, I love flowers, plants and animals alike. I like and spend my free time taking care of myself, meditating, swimming or watching documentary or artistic films. In general, I believe that I have found my vocation in this profession that brings me joy and great satisfaction.
