I have completed a level 3 diploma in adult healthcare, which has been invaluable in increasing my awareness of how dementia affects everyone differently. IP20 0JB 2352 I am a woman who is loyal, trustworthy, honest, and also firm but fair. I am an advocate for justice and safeguarding the vulnerable. I have a patient, caring and kind temperament, with a fun sense of humour. My various aspects of employment and life experience have lent themselves to my becoming a conscientious, professional and dedicated housekeeper/carer with high standards and good culinary skills. During my children’s young teenage years, I became a foster carer for abused teenagers, which I found very challenging but rewarding. In this time, I undertook an NVQ1 course in ceramics and pursued my hobbies of arts and crafts, namely glass-painting and floristry, which I promoted to all the children in my care. As my children furthered their education, it seemed to me a natural progression to become a carer. I highly value my job choice and it is and has been my privilege to look after people in all aspects of their required care, whether it be community, companion or palliative. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

I have a lot of experience with spinal care so that would be my first choice, but I have many years experience in elderly care too. Please see details in the condition experience section. The only thing I do not do is dementia/Alzheimer care. I am reliable, calm, kind and a fast learner. IP17 1AL 280107 Live in care Availability: 27 July 2024 - 02 September 2024, 03 October - 30 October 2024 (for the October period of care need to be in the area of Shoreham by sea area), 01 November - 16 December 2024. My passion is taking care of you!! l love looking after people, especially when I can see that the care I am giving is making them happier and healthier. I am able to care for male or female clients. I am very down to earth, kind, caring, and patient, I am very accommodating when it comes to sharing the same space, this includes cats and dogs as they bring so much love to a home. I have had the privilege of working with clients that have just come out of hospital and then recover, COPD clients with mobility issues, Cerebral Palsy client that was wheelchair bound, early Alzheimer's, back injuries, and catheter clients. The equipment I have used includes wheelchairs, walkers, stand rota, return, slip sheets, and hospital beds. Before I started caring, I taught children with learning difficulties, so am very used to, in this case, dealing with multiple medical associations, including NHS, District Nurses, and A & E visits. I have learnt so much from the medical profession and always looking to enhance my skill set. As mentioned before, my aim is to keep my clients healthy and happy, this includes god home cooked meals, ensuring a healthy diet, daily exercise, like walking or going to specific classes at the gym, and you will always have a hygienely clean home to come back to. Community and connection with people is priority, and I encourage my clients to join in community activities, like markets, programmes at the library, going to Church, and at least tea with a friend or family member once a week Carers Requirements: Length of work - preferably 4 - 6 weeks and I insist on a 2 week settling in period, with new clients. A daily break of 2 hours, normally between 2pm and 4pm. The client will need to cover travel cost, as I work all around the UK and Whales, however, I do have a valid driver's licence, but not my own car, and as long as I am covered by clients insurance, I can drive a automatic or manual car. I look forward to meeting you and caring for you. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}

IP17 1AL 229176 I really enjoy being a live in carer. It gives me a feeling of a great satisfaction and meaning. Communication and competency are key factors which help to create "chemistry" between caregiver and caretaker. I my opinion that "click" is vital to set up partnership which brings benefits to both parties. To achieve this it requires from me a special set of features: hard work, commitment, passion, creativity, awareness to cooperate closely with others involved in care plan, to know the needs of a caretaker means to be a good listener and being approachable. My task is to help achieve agreed goals, needs and expectations (sometimes). I have been involved in a very broad spectrum of care services covering almost all physical and learning disabilities, mental health, spinal and brain injures, challenging behaviour, epilepsy, Down's syndrome, MS, Dementia, etc. I do work nationwide. I prefer to work shifts 3 weeks work 2 weeks of (but I am flexible especially when my Lady and the Commander grants me permission to work longer- I use this opportunity 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

NR13 4UA 223178 I have been working in care for 8 years, which gave me skills and knowledge to how to provide best care for my clients. I am qualified occupational therapist and my degree gave me a higher level of experience in care. I am looking for extra work to top up my hours. For the past 8 years, I have been working as a health care assistant and have worked closely alongside patients with dementia, neurological conditions, different physical and mental health disabilities and end-of-life care. I believe that everyone deserves the best quality of life possible and being able to complete everyday tasks is a part of this. It is easy to take these tasks for granted and not consider the effect an inability to complete them would have. I want the opportunity to make a difference by helping people gain independence and increase confidence. I want to be part of such a rewarding and diverse career; working closely with people and helping them to progress. The years in care taught me to effectively communicate with people of all ages and abilities, as well as how to encourage and support people in tasks that help them be independent. These skills will help me form a better rapport with service users as an occupational therapist and a carer. I learned to adapt my communication to support patients with cognitive needs by speaking clearly and not overloading information. My desire to learn and develop further skills encouraged me to study and finish 3 degrees that includes International economic relations, Public relations and finally Occupational therapy which gives me a sense of purpose and I now consider to be my true vocation. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5"}
