I started working in care at 18, I worked in domiciliary care, and supported a wide variety of people with range of conditions such as learning disabilities, others with mild dementia and others that required support due to mobility issues. From 2020 onwards I started working in nursing and residential care homes, which led me to hone my skills in moving and handling people with reduced mobility and preventing pressure ulcers. This was a very rewarding part of my journey as a care assistant as it required much more attention to the clients needs and it was more involved. Since 2021 until currently, I have worked for a care agency, where I have had the opportunity to work in assisted living facilities for people living with learning disability, epilepsy and various other neurodiversity’s. I am currently a Medical Student at the University of Plymouth and have availability on the Fridays and Saturdays and in my free time I enjoy practicing Jiu jitsu.
