DE12 7GZ 271215 Hello! I was born in Malawi, Central Africa, lived in Zambia, Central Africa, schooled in Zambia and South Africa, and worked and lived in England since I was 19. After years of travelling back and forth to England from South Africa, I settled in the UK in 2014, taking up live in care work mainly in Gloucestershire. I’ve had the privilege of caring for wonderful clients, which has charged me with the ability to be compassionate, empathetic and professional. I have 10 years experience as a carer and I enjoy listening to stories from the elderly people, encouraging them to continue living as independently as they can, while living in their own homes, and happy to work at their own pace. I have experience in personal grooming and I enjoy helping clients look their best. I can assist with hygiene, toileting, eating, cooking, cleaning and any administrative tasks which need support. I have a full clean driving license and enjoy taking clients out to meet friends or just to go for a drive. I have worked with people with dementia, chronic conditions and I have provided end of life care. I provided care for stroke rehabilitation including encouraging client to mobilise as much as possible. I also have experience working with clients suffering from depression and anxiety. I have recently cared for a blind lady for the past 7 years. What a challenge and what a rewarding role it was. I enjoy the little things in life, whether it’s a coffee and cake outing with the client or a gentle amble around a lake, as well as taking in a good movie. Please feel free to contact me should you want a chat and I’ll be happy to tell you all about me. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}

DE12 6QY 26362 I have been in the Care Industry for about 12years +. At present I am working on behalf of the NHS for Pulse at Home as a Community Support Worker which I really enjoy. I have been doing this for just over 2 yrs now. My daily visits consist of personal care, showering, pad change, change from night wear to day wear, apply cream on body, do the beds, breakfast, give or prompt client to take medication as per Mar Chart or blister pack. Use thicker in drinks where needed, make lunch, tea, wash dishes, dry and put them away. Light house work. Put dirty washing in the machine. If client uses the commode or urine bottle, I can assist client to use them. Catheter care. Most importantly, prioritise my day so I can spend more time with the client chatting to them about their life, past history, about the family. What they like doing as a hobby etc. I always tell my client and family when I take care of a client, I always tell them that it's not about how I want thi gs done!! It's about my client and how they want things doing. About me, I love meeting people from all walks of life. Listen to their stories. I love animals and bird watching. Nature out there is so beautiful. I enyou socialising with my family. I have a large family and get together to Celebrate birthdays or any other occasion. I'm a bit of a television addict as I enjoy watching all the soaps, any animal programs. Love listening to radio 4 (The Archers) when I can. I have a fab sense of humour. I really enjoy going out for coffee and people watching. Love walking my dog. He really is a cutie pie. I'm sure he is half human. 😂😂 Watching chick flicks is my thing or and black and white films. You can't beat watching an Golden Oldie. I have worked in various hospitals, Russell's Hall Hospital - Dudly, Alexander Hospital Redditch, Coventry Hospital, Ripley Hospital, Ilkeston Hospital, Warwick Hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed every shift. I have work in Dialysis for 4yrs which was so interesting. At first I was very nervous but over came my fear after a few weeks. It's such an honour to help people who require help. I have been told many times from client families to clients themselves how I go above and beyond to look after and take care of the clients. I always tell them that the secret is, I look after my clients as I look after my parents and that way you can not go wrong!! Thank you kindly for taking time to read my profile. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

I was born in Malawi (or Southern Rhodesia as it was back in the "60's) Africa and had a wonderful childhood growing up both in Malawi and then Rhodesia before moving to South Africa just after the Rhodesian war. I now live in Australia but often return to the UK for 6 months at a time. My parents were both British. I was blessed to have been able to care for my mum in her own home for the last 5 weeks of her life up in York. I am family orientated and have 7 grandchildren. I love the outdoors. Walking and especially long distance walks are my passion. I have a certificate 4 in Aged Care (Australia) and a Level 2 Award, high distinction in End-of-Life Care (25/10/2020)- Oplex Careers (England) and am on the enhanced DBS update service. I have done live-in care work in the UK on and off since 2014 and happy to work around the UK. I do prefer smaller towns and or rural but happy to do repsite placements in the bigger cities. I have looked after clients with dementia, cancer, Parkinson's and MS and have done catheter care, stoma care and peg feeding. I am proficient in the use of hoists, both standing hoists and full sling hoists. I love doing high end care and have looked after clients on palliative care. Personality wise I am quiet, helpful, non-judgemental, compassionate and respectful. I work with clients to achieve their goals and best outcomes alongside the family and allied health professionals if appropriate. LE11 4EJ 262670 Hi! My name's Inga. I've been in the care field for quite some time and have experience working in different capacities. I've worked in domicilary care with elderly, in care homes, have been a live-in personal assistant for people with spinal injuries, have worked with people with learning disabilities, and also have cared for terminally ill, dying people. One of the most touching experiences in my carer's career was being able to support a man after his wife's death (for whom I also looked after), help him accept the inevitable and come to terms with our mortality in a way that was soft and gentle. The main duties, of course, are to help with personal care, household tasks and similar jobs related to the client's needs and wants. But very important part of the job is also to make a difference in clients' emotional lives - to bring more joy in their day, promote their autonomy, be a compassionate companion in their challenges. I have to say I am good at that too. I love being in nature, listening to music, and am interested and practising different holistic healing modalities. I'm able to support people in their interests even if it's not something I'm enthusiastic about. When I'm at work client's needs come first and foremost. For example, even though I'm vegetarian, I don't mind cooking meat for clients. I'm a driver and love taking people out for social occasions; am computer literate and able to do administrative tasks. Such qualities as patience, kindness, and calmness help me build good relationships with people. If this resonates, please get in touch. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}
