"I would describe myself as compassionate, patient, and reliable. I have been working as a Care Assistant in the UK since 2023, and I am currently employed with the NHS, working in the community alongside registered nurses. This role has given me valuable experience supporting people with a range of needs, including personal care, companionship, and day-to-day living tasks. My approach is to treat every client with dignity and respect, ensuring they feel valued, comfortable, and safe. Before entering the care profession, I worked for over 26 years in administration, sales, and support roles. This background has given me excellent communication and organisational skills, which I now use to provide structured and attentive care. Experience and Skills I have experience in: Supporting older adults, including those with dementia and chronic conditions. Personal care duties such as grooming, toileting, bathing, and mobility assistance. Household tasks including cooking, light cleaning, shopping, and administration. Providing companionship, emotional support, and encouraging clients to enjoy their hobbies and social activities. Working with registered nurses in the NHS community team, contributing to coordinated and professional care. Basic clinical skills, with phlebotomy training and CPD certification. I am currently studying towards the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, which I expect to complete by November 2025. I also hold certificates in health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control. Why I Chose Care My decision to move into care was inspired by my desire to make a direct and positive difference in people’s lives. I find great purpose in helping others live independently, supporting families with respite, and being there for people during both everyday routines and more challenging times. About Me Outside of work, I enjoy reading, keeping up with current affairs, and spending time outdoors. I also have a strong interest in learning new skills, which is why I continue to study and improve my professional knowledge in health and social care. Availability I am flexible with my working hours and can provide both daytime and evening support, with regular availability during weekdays. Sign Off If you are looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional carer, please feel free to get in touch – I would be delighted to support you."
