    "My name is John (Ioannis). I am of Greek heritage, but born and educated in Zimbabwe and South Africa. I have a university degree in economics and management and I have operated my own financial consultancy for 17-years. I am a Commissioner of Oaths. In 2021 I emigrated to the UK in order to acquire the right to reside here so that my children could join me from Zimbabwe. Once here, I was offered a position with a caring agency in England as a live-in carer for a refined lady of 96-years who had suffered a stroke the previous year. She was wheelchair bound although her other faculties were unaffected. I was one of two full-time carers undertaking all normal caring for the lady. I also administered the household, provided companionship for her and did all the cooking and driving. I was with her for 2-years and then moved to Scotland to be near my sister and her family. Once in Scotland, I became a member of a team of carers, caring for a gentleman suffering from advanced MS. During the 18-months with him I gained additional experience in hoisting, supra-pubic catheter operation and maintenance and PEG feeding. For the past 6 months I have been in full-time employment with East Ayrshire Council as a Community Care Officer providing daily care services to up to 16 different service users suffering from a variety of health conditions. I am sociable, articulate, inquisitive and driven to excel in everything I undertake."
