CT4 8AB 30210 Hi, My name is Diana, a very caring individual from Kenya and a UK resident. I stumbled upon caring almost 7 years ago when I first arrived in England and volunteered full time for 2 years in care in South East Kent. I made long time friends through the families I met and had my mind opened to various disabilities. I have cared since then for various families within Canterbury and as far as Sevenoaks. I lost my own parents at a very young age and had to care for my siblings most of my adult life. I have succeeded in life through the kindness and generosity of both friends and strangers and that's why I find so much satisfaction in caring. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

CT11 9EU 137726 Before becoming a Carer, I worked in accounting for 30 years, my final position was as Credit Manager for a group of 10 companies and a staff of 10. I came to the UK on holiday in 2001 and loved it so much I relocated within 8 months. I started my career as a Carer in 2002; first in a care home and then with a London agency for 4 years, after which, in 2008, I joined a national care agency and have worked as a self-employed Carer since. Total number of years as a Carer = 20. I'm friendly, approachable, a good listener and hard working. I have experience with varying levels of dementia, as well as a number of chronic conditions. I also have experience of anxiety and depression care. I have provided compassionate end of life care, helping to make clients comfortable at home as a live-in carer. I work well with other palliative care team members, such as Nurses, District Nurses, and doctors, as well as supporting family members with respite care. I enjoy preparing good, wholesome meals for my clients and enjoy experimenting where required. I am happy to assist with feeding when necessary, and to prepare attractive, tasty meals to encourage appetite. In order to help my clients look their best, I can assist with hygiene, toileting, and dressing. As part of my duties, I'm a happy to provide some basic household tasks, and any administrative tasks which need support. I have a full clean UK driving license and enjoy taking clients on outings. I do not have a car. I love reading, especially crime fiction novels,  biographies, and travel journals. I’m passionate about UK history, the sea and countryside and love long-distance walking and exploring new areas, especially villages. I enjoy travelling and am prepared to travel outside of Kent for any bookings longer than 10 days, as well as London for shorter periods. Please do contact me if you think I could help you, and I’ll reply as soon as I can. CT11 7PG 125992 My name is Ngarita (the g is silent so Na ri ta is how you pronounce my name) Im originally from New Zealand but have lived in the UK for over 25 years. I have always been involved with caring for people who are vulnerable from my first years of working with both adults and children who had special needs, physical and mental disabilities to changing my path to care and support elderly clients or those recovering from operations and illnesses to end of life to help people to remain in their own home. I have experience from companionship to caring for people with dementia and the challenges that that may bring. I enjoy working with multi disciplinary teams to deliver care and I have also been responsible for managing teams of carers in a placement if needed such as in 24 hour care. I'm very happy to accompany clients on outings, appointments etc if public transport or other means is available and appropriate. I have my UK drivers licence for an automactic. I'm looking for daily/nightly care but will consider a week or two for respite live in. I'm happy to travel for example to London from Kent if the hours are for longer periods i.e a day and/or sleeper duty/nights or respite live-in. Happy to accompany you should you want to go on holiday and need a companion or need someone to accompany you to your destination to join others. The rates displayed are a guide line and the basis for Monday to Friday day rates. Weekends are usually a little more per hour and also bank holidays will be charged at a double rate. Rates open for discussion ie if 24 hour live out cover is required then the rate could be lower. I love to travel and are very interested in other cultures, the arts, sport......love watching sport. Love the outdoors especially being by the coast. I enjoy cooking and food so are capable of producing nutritious meals. Shopping running errands. Happy to do light housework and even mow the lawn if needed. I've been described as laid back but able to step up when needed. Firm but fair. Fun with humour and more than capable. Supportive and caring with empathy. I'll be there to encourage you to do as much as you can and are capable of doing. Or if you just need some companionship and security for you to remain at home Im more than happy to be that companion. I can look after you if your recovering after an operation and or illness. I also have like mentioned earlier experience in End of Life/Palliative Care and can be there for you and or a loved one to support and care for you/them through this time. When your new to arranging care it can be quite daunting...with my help and experience it doesnt need to be. I can be there to help take the worry away and make the transition into care as smooth as possible. Please do contact me if you think I maybe of help or you want to know anything else.
