PH11 8DH 115771 I am a mum to 4 lovely children and have worked in care for 20 years with a few short breaks for starting a family and studying for my degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology. I enjoy having nice walks with my family and dogs in the lovely countryside where we live. I have also been a volunteer puppy walker for the Guide Dogs for 5 years now, caring for the pups in our home from around 8 weeks of age until they reach their sight traing age at aroung 18 months. I started as an Auxiliary Nurse in my local NHS hospital 20 years ago which allowed me to develop skills and knowledge in different care settings. I have been a self employed carer for 6 years working through my local councils Direct Care scheme. I have my own transport and can be extremely flexible. I am patient, compassionate and respectful of my clients needs and wishes. I am a professional carer with a friendly and empathic manner. I believe a carer should give their clients 100% and believe clients should be treated with respect and dignity at all times. I have hands on experience with catheter care, stoma bag care, moving & handling and oxygen therapy via mask or trachea. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

DD4 8XL 13892 I have been a carer for over 6yrs. I love my job very much & treat you like you were my own family. I have compassion, empathy, understanding & great communication skills. I'm an excellent listener & good with advice. I have experience within hospital settings, mental health care settings, care home settings & care in the community. I have dealt with complex care needs, domiciliary care, palliative care, dementia care, end of life, physical disabilities & lots of other care needs. I have training & experience with stoma care, catheter care & peg feeding. I am a hard worker. Very reasonable. I do have a very caring & calming nature. I love to laugh, great sense of humour, love to keep clients active & to encourage them to lead a very active & social life. I like to know that when I finish my shift that I have done an excellent job, that your care needs have been met, that you are happy, comfortable & that I have given you some joy. I do house chores, administration of medication, personal care, prepare meals. I like companionship, getting to know clients & about their lives. I like going out on social outings, shopping, pick up medication, take you out for a coffee/tea. I enjoy listening to music, watching movies including the soaps ?, love chatting, love horses, nice walks, bingo, the odd puzzle books & reading. I love exploring places & travelling abroad. I do love to cook, even new recipes I haven’t done before so if I have the list I can do anything. Any dietary needs can be discussed between us so I know to meet dietary requirements. I am happy to look after male & female clients as I have a passion for the elderly & get along with them very well, I treat them like my own family. For night duties start times can be between 9pm & 10pm till between 6-7am but I’m willing to discuss amongst yourself with an agreement of preferred times. During the day I would preferably like to start at 9am & finish no later than 4pm but once again I would be willing to discuss with yourselves to come to an agreement for times to suit both of us. I don’t mind if I don’t have a break during my visit times as I just love my work & chatting away with clients. Sometimes I don’t know how to be quiet because I love talking, I love the interaction with people. I’m a very reasonable person & if there’s any concerns or problems then I will not hesitate to speak to you. I don’t work day shifts on Christmas days but I’m happy to do a night shift. No night shift on Christmas Eve but have availability for New Years but at the rate of time & a half during festive periods. My absolute passion is end of life care. I have great experience in this personally & professionally. I give my heart & soul to provide the best care & comfort I can. I am most definitely willing to do waken shifts. Sleep overs I’m interested in aswell. During day shifts I enjoy the company of people so we can do activities, go out to enjoy the day, put a big smile on your face & know I have made a difference to you. Even relax in your home & do what you want to do. I love to learn new things & love a challenge. Minimum day shift hours are 4hrs. I have completed access to nursing AAB marks may 2023. I am now a student nurse at Dundee university & looking for work to fit around my studies false

DD8 2DE 12024 Hi my name is Val I began my career in health and social care many years ago, I am an experienced carer in all aspects of care. I am professional, compassionate and driven. I hold SVQ level 2 and SVQ level 3 and also hold a professional development award. I strongly believe in taking a holistic approach when caring for individuals, I also believe that care should be person centred and unique to each and every person. I believe it is important that each and every individual is included in the decisions being made about their care and their likes, dislikes and preferences and are first and foremost when implementing their care plan. In my previous employment my role as a care coordinator involved creating care plans, and implementing the care plans to the highest standard. As care coordinator I also communicated with other multidisciplinary agencies to keep the client safe, but to also make sure they received the highest standard of quality care and support making sure to always promote independence when able and making sure the client always feels respected and dignified. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
