I currently work part time with NHS complex care team supporting clients who are ventilated at home patients who require tracheostomy care cough assist therapy and vital signs monitoring,blood glucose monitoring nebulisers and regularly use suction equipment to clear and maintain airways. My role also includes epilepsy management and I trained in uses of both buccaI and rectal emergency medication for management of seizures.I also support patients with stoma care and bowel regime and I trained to use Gastrostomy feed and administer medication via peg. I have experience working in acute settings: NHS, orthopaedic, trauma, HDU and elderly care. I have also worked with adults with additional support needs and the past 7 years have worked two jobs one of which is specifically with Brain injury patients. I am a compassionate and enthusiastic carer with a knack for taking care of the vulnerable ones in the comfort of their residences and also in the care homes. This aspect of my work ethics is very natural with me, having worked hand in hand with my mother who retired as a nurse. I had time to understudy her in how she helped the elderly ones during which we visited them in their homes and provided their personal needs ranging from personal care, administering medication, dressing their wounds and keeping them company, also with the practicals I undertook during my school days in the United Kingdom and partly during my stay over there .
