BH23 1DW 24306 I have worked as a private live-in carer through Curamcare since 2020, for clients in Weymouth, Downton (nr Salisbury) and Bere Regis (nr Wareham). Prior to this I was employed by private care companies in Surrey, Dorset & Hampshire, specialising in care for the elderly in their own homes. I also gained experience as an agency carer, working as part of a team within care & nursing homes, specialising in Parkinson's, Dementia and Palliative care. I have worked for a local Charity, supporting young adults with learning and physical disabilities (including Asperger's, Autism, Down's syndrome, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy) to live in a care setting, and within the community in their own homes. I enjoy working for one individual, or perhaps a couple, providing a high level of care to suit the client's routine, preferences and choices. I love dogs and cats, and happy to care for them. Also enjoy helping clients feed their garden birds, and look after their house plants & outdoor pots. I have 9 O levels including Maths & English, A level Business Studies, and Level 3 Institute Legal Executives qualifications. I worked for the legal profession in London & Guildford for many years before retraining and moving to an accountancy position in Dorset. My favourite subject at school was O level food & nutrition (and spending my break times playing tennis & rounders) but these days I enjoy home cooking & baking, and encouraging clients to enjoy their meals. I am a non smoker. In my spare time I enjoy walking my mother's border terrier on the beach, helping my mother-in-law with her gardening and attending social events with the local salmon fishing group (I'm married to a keen angler). I am a positive, happy and calm person, very patient, reliable and hard working. I enjoy a nice strong cup of M&S breakfast tea & relaxed conversation. A bit of a soft spot for a good film/drama, and travel, cooking & art programmes on TV. I am happy to take a client out for a short drive to the local shops, garden centre, local medical appointments etc. I am willing to support a client with personal care during the night, on a waking night basis, if required. Ideally working weekly within 1 hour of Christchurch but will travel 1hour+ from BH23 for a longer placement (I have friends & family in Devon, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, & London). Rates negotiable due to level of care provided / hours. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}

BH23 2JH 17953 I am South African with a British citizenship. I decided to come to the UK in May 2019 to do a caring course and start caring for the elderly as I needed more income as my healing practice is not bringing in enough to sustain my living costs. I've always wanted to give back to society in a healing, caring, loving way whilst earning a living. I helped my mother look after my grandmother after she had a stroke and it was a very loving, rewarding and priceless experience for me to give back to all the great years of loving and care my grandmother gave me as a child she taught me so much about life and how to do things and I will cherish her for the rest of my life. I love engaging with the elderly and listening to all their life stories they have such alot of wisdom to share. I find caring to be a very rewarding job. I like arts and crafts, cooking, sewing, knitting and gardening. I worked for a corporate company as a legal administrator before I had my children and have been looking after them and running small business in-between, they are all grown up and at university now in SA and are living their young lives happily. I had to go back to South Africa in January 2020 due to Covid to be with my family during the uncertain times. I am now back in UK and did another in person Caring Course through a very reputable caring agency and have started my caring journey. I live in Christchurch and am prepared to travel max 125miles for a live-in placement. false

BH8 9HW 167508 Hi everyone, My name is Helen. I am an experienced care/support worker working in the sector since 2007. Throughout my career, I have always actively participated in continuous personal development gaining not only qualifications but a vast array of experience. I started my career working in domiciliary care, undertaking daily visits to clients in their own homes. This was predominantly working with individuals with early to late-stage dementia and elderly care. However, I also cared for clients with degenerative disease and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. My next role was working within the palliative care team in Christchurch. This involved caring for people in their final weeks of life. This role was not only supporting the individuals to have a dignified, comfortable death but also supporting family and loved ones through this process. In this role, I also worked closely with a multi-disciplinary team that included nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and general practitioners. I currently work as a support worker, supporting people who have learning disabilities and mental health concerns. I am passionate about enabling my clients to live life to the fullest and being as independent as their condition allows. This role allows me to work with people who require very little support day to day, such as finances and shopping as well as people who require full 24-hour packages with two support staff. Throughout my varied career, I have completed care-related NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifications and I have become competent and confident in the following skills: -Palliative care -Medication administration -Accurate record-keeping and auditing of documentation -Writing and reviewing care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team -Catheter care, I have been trained for individual clients by a district nurse and am willing to have specific training for prospective clients as required -Stoma care, I have been trained for individual clients by a district nurse and am willing to have specific training for prospective clients as required. I have my own car which has business insurance allowing me to take clients out if they do not have access to their own transport. This car has enough space for a manual wheelchair if required. This could be useful if the client would like to go shopping, go to activities or want to access outdoor spaces for exercise or just be out in the fresh air. I consider myself to be a very sociable and chatty person and really like to care/support different individuals. I love to cook and I eat a well-balanced diet myself, I would be more than happy to help with nutrition and cooking for anyone who requires this assistance. I am passionate about my job and how I can have a positive impact on other people's lives. I am a very trustworthy and reliable person and being German I like to be organised and on time! The rates I have stated are subject to change based on individual client circumstances. Please get in touch if you need any kind of care or support. No job is to small for me. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

BH25 7EE 66715 Hello. Being a pensioner myself, I am available for Companionship work mostly, although I am very happy to do more personal work when necessary. I have been in one-to-one contact with people all my working life - as an Osteopath, and other therapies. I have loved that kind of contact, where shared experiences connect us all I am now a retiree as such, yet find myself drawn to Care work as a way of continuing, without too much stress to myself. Humour is important to me, and it is deeply important that on a global scale, "we" seem to be finding that humanity again after such a difficult time for all - of course fully aware of the humanity shown over and above, from the NHS. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}
