l have been a carer since 2015. All of my assignments were repeat placements and mostly live-in. When my husband became ill, I stepped away from care to help him with his work and daily needs. Thankfully he has recovered, and I am now able to return to care. A little about me, you may have notice that I don't have a video for you. I am camera shy, and a video may be a step too far for me so I apologise. I love cooking, watching most sports including golf which I love playing when time allows. I have missed assisting my clients in there daily lives and the friendships made. I am a organised, discreet, reliable and hard-working person here to help were I can. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
I have a great experience in a care, was working a 6 years in the Nursing home, familiar with all types of the equipment which was used in the nursing home . I was working with the clients with different conditions like an early or late stage 0f dementia, diabetes, physical disabilities, spinal injury, stomach care, incontinence, blind people, depression, Down's syndrome, dysphagia. I'm a very calm, patient person, very responsible for any of my works- Hands on person, good housekeeping skills, very good cook. 5 years I was working in the Rnib boarding college with the young adult with visual and hearing impairments, autism disorder. Also I had a few private elderly clients ,providing companionship, housekeeping, cooking, shopping.
I’ve been working with children and adults with special needs for around seven years now, I also have experience with elderly people. I promote dignity first and try to create a comfortable yet professional environment with anyone that I work with. I love meeting people, getting to know them and helping them to have an easy life. I believe I am patient and compassionate with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the individuals in my care.
"In 2016, I embarked on a journey as a carer, initially thinking it would be a brief endeavor. However, over time, I discovered a deep sense of fulfillment in assisting those in need. My experience has taken me through diverse caregiving environments, including nursing homes, care homes, and supported living, where my primary focus has been on individuals aged 18 and above. Dedicated to continuous improvement, I diligently attend training sessions every six months or yearly, ensuring that I stay updated with the latest knowledge and skills. My proficiency extends to handling various aspects of care, medications, and providing support for individuals dealing with epilepsy. Beyond caregiving, I bring to the table a reliable and careful driving record. Whether it's a manual or automatic car, big or small, I navigate with ease, having encountered no incidents in my driving history. As I reflect on my journey, I am excited about the prospect of contributing positively to the lives of those I care for, and I look forward to the continued fulfillment that this meaningful work brings."
