I am a very motivated, enthusiastic individual. I have an up to date Enhanced DBS/Driving License/Insurance. All relevant training certificates are up to date. I have experience with Motor Neurone Disease, Brain Damage, Cancer Care, Dementia, Depression, MS and Mobility issues and other ailments that are part of the ageing process. I am trained in PEG Feeding and Palliative Care. I am confident in dealing with complex issues. I am also experienced in the stages of dementia and the importance of continuity with the same Carer. I am very respectful, a brilliant time keeper and a good communicator. I am a very calm person with great problem solving abilities. The thing I love most about my job is making someone feel they are totally supported and respected .It doesn’t matter if it’s companionship or complex needs. I love getting to know the people I care for. Ageing isn’t easy and the pressure it puts on families is immense. I never underestimate how hard it is to have Carers in the home environment, or how hard it is to maintain a normal family/work life whilst caring for elderly parents. My interests are interior design, cooking, animals and I’m a very upbeat sociable person. I love life and live it to it’s fullest. I am happily married with two children living in Shropshire.
