I am easy going, hardworking and straightforward lady. I have been a support worker for 3years working in a care home in Cardiff supporting adults and children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. I am currently working full time but I looking for extra days or sleepovers on my days off, I currently get my rota 1/2 months in advance so I am happy to co ordinate work around clients and members of micro teams. I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. I am proud of what I have achieved so far. I am a key worker and I am meds trained also completed my NVQ level 3 through the Aspiration training since April but the certificate has not been sent through. And I am also trained in all part I need for care support of an individual like AWIF and so on. I love reading, doing sports and watching tv. My hobbies are cooking, sewing, singing and travelling.

I have, for three years, been developing my role in caring for vulnerable people. This has been an amazing and fulfilling experience, way beyond my expectations. Each client/customer has different requirements and attitudes. The need to be flexible and encompass such conditions is what pleases me the most in the role of a full time carer. The physical demands required have not surprised me, in many ways this is the easier part of the job. It is the mental attitude and resilience required which I have learned that is the most satisfying aspect of my experience. I do feel fully equipped for most caring roles and my ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments and customer needs gives me the self confidence to progress further in the role.
