"I have been doing caring for 16 years and have worked in different types of care settings. I worked with elderly people, dementia, hospitals, live in, hospice, learning disabilities, mental health also with children with physical disabilities. I am currently working as a team leader in a care home. I am a caring person, very flexible and willing to work in any unit, with any client. More so, I am a good team player when working, and independently take decisions on clients best interests if needs arise. Each job presents its particular challenges, however, I always try my possible best to deliver a high standard of care. I am very aware of the effect of good attendance and punctuality as my job requires. I do engage clients with good activities and I always make their safety my priority whenever I am out with the client or within their home. I am an outgoing person, I love eating out and having fun with friends, I love shopping, singing and enjoy listening to music, preferably Gospel. Now, in summary, I am a very patient person and always enjoy reaching out for those who are in need, or who need support. I love people and enjoy learning from different backgrounds. "I’ve been working as a HCA since 2016. I hold my Diploma NVQ2 in Social Care. In addition, the training I require for the job is up to date due to receiving it frequently. I have much experience in providing personal care for elderly people with dementia and physical disabilities. Furthermore, I am more than capable in providing safe levels of care. I am confident and knowledgeable when it comes to operating all of the lifting equipment e.g. Full body hoist, Standing hoist, Ceiling Hoist, frame, wheelchair, and many others. I consider myself as a person who is consistently courteous. Every day without failure, I give to my clients the opportunity to choose what it is that they would like to do, so that I know they will be satisfied, and because it is the equitable thing to do. Respect, approbation, dignity, promote independence. That is my perspective of my work with them, always respecting their wishes, because the most important thing is to make an efficacious impact in their daily lives. Additionally, I have had personal experience for 21 years because of my disabled twin sons. One has a physical disability that requires the use of a wheelchair due to his quadriplegia, and the other has autism and a behavioural disorder. They are the reason I love this job, because they have impacted my life in a way that has given me the yearning to help others that cannot help themselves.
