YO12 7DT 236780 I am currently a manager of a supporting living house in charge of a handful of staff, I support a lady who has a few different disabilities. I have experience with learning disabilities, expressive language disorder, dyspraxia, autism, and young and older individuals. I have worked with the same client for 6 going on 7 years now. I like walks, drives out, cinema, bowling, baking 'not an expert'. Theme park rides, swimming. I have taken a client on holiday to Disney land Paris on my own before, twice so far, 'planning another trip this year'. I can cook regular meals, including to be healthy where possible. I enjoy the fulfilment you get from helping someone to live in the community to be inclusive. I have also worked as a mobile carer for the last year and a half, I support clients in their own home, this includes, assisting with medication, washing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, chnaging of incontinence pads. I can assist with stoma and catheter bags once I have been signed off by your nurse. although I have assisted with these previously. I have assisted with transporting using hoists and commodes in my previous home care job. I am available on days / nights around my current job. I work two 24-hour shifts a week already. These days are not always the same day each week. If you would like to contact me, I can let you know if I am available for when you require support. Please also contact me for any other information or support you may need ? 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

TS13 4LF 6485 I HAVE HAD BOTH OF THE COVID VACCINE JABS Available Hi i'm Trish .. I am 53 years old. I have been working as a carer now for 34 years... I have worked in a varied selection of settings, nursing homes, residential homes and hospitals. I have been working as a live-in carer again now for nearly 5 years. In all honesty I prefer it. It is more personal, less stressful and I can give attention to one person instead of trying to spread myself out between a lot of people.... I keep all of my training up to date, most of which I pay for myself. I work mainly with dementia, all stages, MS, ME, COPD, and also palliative / end of life care. I am trained in using majority of lifting devices and stand assistance equipment. I have 2 cats and a border collie so I am an animal lover. I enjoy walking and going to the cinema and I love going to the lakes with my partner of 8 years. I do drive and have my own car, with business insurance. I have my own pa insurance also. My DBS is on the update service and can viewed if needed. I don't mind traveling for work, I cover Norfolk, Suffolk, West and North Yorkshire, , Wales and some parts of surrey, also Cambridgeshire as I have family there. I do charge mileage capped at £50 as it is often a long way for me to drive, often having to drive between 3 and 8 hours, to get to a client. I do have family outside Weymouth, Cambridgeshire and in wales so i can work nationwide. I like to drive so distance is never an idsue. My partner lives in Keighley so I can easily work that area. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5, 3"}

YO42 2NR 265543 I’m a compassionate, driven and hardworking. I have worked in healthcare for the past 5years along with my studies. Currently I work in complex care taking care of patients with motor neurone disease and spinal cord injuries. I have done a lot of home care for various patients with learning difficulties and vulnerable adults. I’m an avid reader mostly of thriller courtroom based novels. At the moment I’m looking to advance my skills in the healthcare industry while I save up to apply into aviation academy (which is one of my interests). Most of my basic care training is provided by St John’s Ambulance as I’m a volunteer there. I have a hands-on approach to care. A typical day with me would include assistance in personal care if so needed (to include washing and dressing). I can assist with housekeeping chores like hoovering, ironing and dishwashing. I’m a great listener and always interested to engage in conversation and would be delighted to be of any assistance towards a client’s personal goals. I hold a valid driver’s license and am able to drive to the shop or any places of interest required including walks around the area to get some fresh air. I take pride in my own appearance and would make sure I assist in any way possible to extend this to my client. More than anything, I offer companionship and this can be tailored to the specific needs, hobbies and interests of my client. I have flexible availability and willing to do day and night shifts. Part time live in care when required. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

TS12 2HZ 1593 I have a plethora of experience and qualifications that I have acquired in my working capacity are many and vast, from Diploma NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in health and social care. I am fully self employed, I have my own independent insurance as well as Curam insurance. My DBS is on the online service and any documentation relating to my work is available for any employer wishing to see, please feel free to ask for your own peace of mind and assurance, though Curam are fabulous at updating and checking all their care support staffs records, I can totally relate and understand the relevance of getting the correct care for the person requiring care, so please feel free to ask me any relevant questions you may have, happy to oblige. Interests and hobbies, I like places of history and art, i like music festivals and events and I have incorporated these in my previous job roles as well, taking people I support to local events of interest. Family play a big role in my life and in working capacity people you support are like a second working family as you are involved with all aspects of their life and you have to work to ethics and certain standards and values as we all do in our family life. I do a lot of walking and i am quiet lucky to have lots of interesting places to explore right here on my own doorstep, walking to the people I have supported in the past keeps them active but also opens up a sense of achievement and places of interest as well. I do exercise have some gym equipment at home so I do the odd hour when I can. I work with computers as I do a lot of my training online but it also a social network of communication between myself family and friends, I believe more people should be encouraged and supported to try the internet in 1 format or another as there are lots of programs out there to support and encourage people to try new things and make it fun and interesting. When not working in support I do the odd bit of volunteer work for a local place of art and interest as a custodian which i highly enjoy. To wind down after work i tend to do read or complete puzzles or the odd game online to keep my brain active. Why I do my job.. I have been a mum to Three now very grown up children and Two of which have medical problems, One as they got older grew out of the problems they had as they matured and got past the teenage phase, but my son was born with several problematic issues so I was a mum and carer for my son which guided me to succeed in the career I now choose to do in support work for others. I think it brings another dimension and element to the work I do as I have been in some situations that people I support family have been in for example so i can empathize with people, I have not just chose a career it chose me when I had to raise my son and I think between us we did good as he went to main stream school, then college and then did Two years at university and is now a father to his own family and I think that one of the main reasons I do care I like to see results, to make a difference in someone's life and making a real change to the lives of the people I provide support and care for as well as their community of friends family and carers who work with each individual as a team. The people you then support lead fuller and more compassionate life and the job you work is always rewarding, the professional relationships we build and form with people we support instils a sense of personal achievement for both worker and person in support by raising their morale and helping them maintain independence, I consider the work I do as important and support worker for me is more than just a job, I have learnt so much about myself and in all different areas of the work I do and the training I complete, but also from the people I work with and the people I work for. Being in support work opens your eyes and provides me with a chance to work with a plethora of interesting complex people. WHAT MAKES ME A GOOD SUPPORT WORKER So what does makes a good support worker? There are many personal and professional attributes which contribute to making a good Support Worker, but most of all the ability to support someone to exercise control of the following aspects of their lives. On a professional basis, you have to be someone who understand the value and importance of the principles of continuing professional development and of learning and methods of self-evaluation different types of communication and positive working approaches the difference between work relationships and personal relationships and how work relationships can be maintained professionally, to employ person centred approaches to the work you do and I work on a needs led basis a lot of the time. A good support worker empowers each person they support to become more independent and involved in their local community, and have a sense of achievement in all they do. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}
