I helped my mother look after my grandmother after she had a stroke and it was a very rewarding and priceless experience for me to give back to all the great years of loving and care my grandmother gave me as a child she taught me so much about life and how to do things and I will cherish her for the rest of my life. I love engaging with the elderly and listening to all their life stories they have such alot of wisdom to share. I like practicing Reiki Healing, I also like arts and crafts, cooking, and gardening. BH11 9EL 271874 Caring for others has always been my passion, and with over seven years of experience in the care sector, I have dedicated my career to providing high-quality, person-centred support. I have worked in a mental health hospital for five years and a care home for two, gaining extensive experience in dementia care, mental illness, and palliative care. Through these roles, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of dignity, independence, and emotional well-being in care. Holding an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, I have built a strong foundation in best practices, safeguarding, and holistic care approaches. I have also progressed into senior roles, including Care Practitioner, Supervisor, and Team Senior, where I have led teams, trained staff, and ensured the highest standards of care were met. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, allowing me to provide both hands-on support and guidance to my colleagues. Outside of work, I am a proud mom to a wonderful toddler, which has further deepened my patience, empathy, and ability to multitask—skills that are invaluable in my role as a care professional. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, and discovering new foods, as I believe experiencing different cultures helps me connect with people on a deeper level. I love staying active through sports, going for drives, and taking peaceful walks along the beach. Music is a big part of my life, and I have a deep love for animals, finding comfort and companionship in pets. These interests keep me balanced and bring me joy, which I believe reflects in my positive and compassionate approach to care. I take great pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for those I care for. Whether assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, or working alongside families and healthcare professionals, I am committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

BH8 9HW 167508 Hi everyone, My name is Helen. I am an experienced care/support worker working in the sector since 2007. Throughout my career, I have always actively participated in continuous personal development gaining not only qualifications but a vast array of experience. I started my career working in domiciliary care, undertaking daily visits to clients in their own homes. This was predominantly working with individuals with early to late-stage dementia and elderly care. However, I also cared for clients with degenerative disease and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. My next role was working within the palliative care team in Christchurch. This involved caring for people in their final weeks of life. This role was not only supporting the individuals to have a dignified, comfortable death but also supporting family and loved ones through this process. In this role, I also worked closely with a multi-disciplinary team that included nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and general practitioners. I currently work as a support worker, supporting people who have learning disabilities and mental health concerns. I am passionate about enabling my clients to live life to the fullest and being as independent as their condition allows. This role allows me to work with people who require very little support day to day, such as finances and shopping as well as people who require full 24-hour packages with two support staff. Throughout my varied career, I have completed care-related NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifications and I have become competent and confident in the following skills: -Palliative care -Medication administration -Accurate record-keeping and auditing of documentation -Writing and reviewing care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team -Catheter care, I have been trained for individual clients by a district nurse and am willing to have specific training for prospective clients as required -Stoma care, I have been trained for individual clients by a district nurse and am willing to have specific training for prospective clients as required. I have my own car which has business insurance allowing me to take clients out if they do not have access to their own transport. This car has enough space for a manual wheelchair if required. This could be useful if the client would like to go shopping, go to activities or want to access outdoor spaces for exercise or just be out in the fresh air. I consider myself to be a very sociable and chatty person and really like to care/support different individuals. I love to cook and I eat a well-balanced diet myself, I would be more than happy to help with nutrition and cooking for anyone who requires this assistance. I am passionate about my job and how I can have a positive impact on other people's lives. I am a very trustworthy and reliable person and being German I like to be organised and on time! The rates I have stated are subject to change based on individual client circumstances. Please get in touch if you need any kind of care or support. No job is to small for me.
