LS25 5NT 48828 To whom it may concern I am a retired businessman who is looking for a challenging and fulfilling role in companionship and/or caring. The thing that drives me most, is my passion for life, and my belief that, everyone should have the best quality at all times. I am used to dealing and communicating with people from many varied walks of life, and am told that my main strengths are my energy, dynamism and ability to make things happen. I am able to achieve this through hard work, humour, honesty and integrity. When I was a director/owner of a nursing home for the physically and mentally impaired for 3 years, I developed an empathetic and compassionate relationship with residents and staff, who trusted my confidentiality and discretion. We had many people with severe conditions such as Huntingtons disease, and I am glad to say, that I designed and had made, a special bed/sleeping arrangement which stopped them hurting themselves during the night or when they needed rest. Within my family, I have a sister in law who has multiple learning difficulties. This lady is now 67 and has been in my life for over 45 years. So I have seen first hand what quality of caret is needed to improve her life. She is now in a private house, where her life is substantially better because of the ability of her carers, and the variety of things they can do for her on a daily basis - days out, holidays etc. I have recently been involved as a volunteer treasurer at a nursery for children with multiple learning and disabilities, and again have seen at first hand what is needed to make their lives more fulfilling. Because of my varied career from engineering, business consultancy, through to finance, I have gained a great deal of experience from which to rely on. This means that I am comfortable with, and able to socialize and talk to, most people. Family and sport are my main interests, I love the outdoors and play indoor football and table tennis, and run, walk, or cycle regularly. Along with my wife of 45yrs, I have two daughters and four grandchildren who I love dearly. They take up a large part of my time, but it is a joy to be involved in their lives. I hope you find the above of interest. Thank you for your time. Regards, Alan

WF4 3JZ 187790 Hello. My name is Chiboola M. I moved to the UK from Zambia in 2000. I have more than 14 years experience working in the health and social care sector. I am passionate about people helping people. This was instilled in me from a young age. My mother was a nurse. I watched her care for her family and care for her patients. I am kind, compassionate, sympathetic, and humorous. In my spare time I enjoy crocheting, doing a bit of knitting, and listening to music. I also love to watch movies and listening to audio books from time to time. When the weather is right, I love to go walking. Most of my time working in health and social care has been in supported living. This has been with clients with learning disabilities or physical limitations. I have loved every minute of it. We all have just one life to live. Let’s make it count, for ourselves and those around us.
