After many years of working with children with assisted learning & physical needs, with both the public & private sector I moved towards caring for the elderly. I became a self employed private carer, both as a daily support worker and 24 he care as part of a team, spanning nearly 12 years now. I am a creative person with an interest in the Arts. I was a trained ballet dancer in my youth, so very much enjoy watching dance on the TV or theatres. I love to be in nature whether for a walk in woods or beaches, walking dogs or gardening. I like to cook healthy meals & soups but perhaps need more practice with baking! Watching old movies is also a favorite pastime as well as reading. I enjoy peacefulness and activities such as board & word games, drawing & painting. As a Christian, I am happy toto take my clients to their preferred place of worship.  KY4 8PA 236975 Having gone through rigorous training and also having worked in care homes for over 6 years looking after children, young adults and the elderly, I see myself being confident and able to handle lone work as a self-employed individual. I am a compassionate and enthusiastic carer with a knack for taking care of the vulnerable ones in the comfort of their residences and also in the care homes. This aspect of my work ethics is very natural with me, having worked hand in hand with my mother who retired as a nurse. I had time to understudy her in how she helped the elderly ones during which we visited them in their homes and provided their personal needs ranging from personal care, administering medication, dressing their wounds and keeping them company, also with the practicals I undertook during my school days in the United Kingdom and partly during my stay over there . As it stands I look forward to doing that again because it makes me a fulfilled being seeing that I could render services to the elderly and the vulnerable ones empathetically and with compassion and make them happy. I can work conveniently alone with no supervision. Teamwork, honesty, kindness and empathy are my usual way of life. Some of my hobbies are Music and dance, research, cooking, exercise both indoors and outdoors, writing and presenting reports. My strength is tailored towards Kindness,effective communication, dedication to duty, never wanting to leave tasks uncompleted, I am trustworthy and reliable. I have done live-in care and domiciliary care with specialization in incontinence management and I can always prove my experiences in these areas. I had taken care of an individual with Last stage dementia and one with Parkinson's disease who used PEG to take medication. Finally I work hard to meet the satisfaction of my clients and my service users and also commit a lot of unsocial hours to my work ethics knowing full well that if there are no service users, I do not have a job.
