PA32 8XU 5985 Hi My name is Gary and I am originally from Scotland although I now work with clients all over the UK. After working for 12 years as a mental health support worker, I decided to broaden my horizons within the social care sector. I now work as a self-employed live-in carer. I work in a person-centred way with a broad range of clients including: physical disabilities, learning disabilities, Parkinson's, dementia, mental illness, palliative care and end of life care. I provide practical and emotional support to help people live a safe and independent life in their own home and community. This includes medication administration, personal care, continence care, moving and handling using hoists and other aids, cooking, cleaning and of course companionship. I am also happy to support clients to go on holiday at home or abroad (I have a wide experience of travel all over the world) I am an animal lover, so pets are no problem. I am also a keen motorcyclist and enjoy cooking. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

G63 0JQ 278751 I have worked in the care industry for over 3 years with both male and female clients. All my Care training has been refreshed on an annual basis. I treat all my clients as individuals and aspire to care for them with the best possible knowledge and care I can offer; consideration, dignity, compassion and patience as they all so rightly deserve. I have experienced clients with many different levels of care requirements to include: End of life, Cancer, Visual impairment and hearing difficulties, Mobility (mild to severe lower paralysis), Incontinence (urinary & bowel), Catheter & Stoma, Dementia (mild & advanced). My personal interests are nature & animals, gardening, music, oil painting & writing. I enjoy cooking (but probably better at baking), love to travel and presently chasing my 'bucket list'. By nature I am fairly easy going, not easily stressed, sympathetic and flexible. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}

G15 7EP 108803 I have a great passion for helping others live comfortably in their own homes. I assist clients with daily living tasks they can no longer perform personally due to illness, frailty or being affected with a physical disability, and mobility issues. I have supported clients who were affected with Dementia, Parkinson disease and some needed companionship as they are lonely in their homes. I have also supported clients who were depressed and were very anxious about life. As no two people are the same, I work using the Person - Centred Approach. I treat clients with dignity and respect. This means I respect their rights, wishes, and choices as long as they do not put them into harm or danger. I work adhering to Legislation and Policies and Procedures. I am a team player and have a listening ear, too. I bring smiles to my clients by appreciating them and treating them with respect and having time doing things the client wants and having cups of tea with cake or biscuits too. This helps to create a very good rapport. I love cooking and baking and sometimes try new things that clients want if I do now know them, especially food as I am from Africa originally. I love making someone smile daily by supporting them in A Person -Centred Way as it is to their choice, not mine . I promote clients' independence, that is, letting them do what they can. I was a Primary School Teacher in Zimbabwe for over 22 years. I taught children from primary one up to seven. When I came to the UK, I decided to help older adults and went to university to train as a social worker. I chose to work with older adults as I had a lot of interest to be with my grandparents when I was young. I had a very good relationship with them. I have very good listening skills and respect others to talk before me. I hold a diploma in social work, and I supported the elderly when I was on placement and I enjoyed that so much, and this made me want to work as a Live-in-Carer. 1 0 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

Everyone is unique regardless of their condition in life, therefore I have to treat everyone with respect and dignity because I work by faith and not by sight. Working as a care assistant gives me lots of joy and fulfilment in life, because everyone needs a helping hand at some point in life. PA2 0EQ 278496 Hi, my name is Matebe, but I prefer to be called Matty for short. Personality I am a compassionate and empathetic individual who values making meaningful connections with people. I believe in the importance of kindness, patience, and understanding in every interaction. I approach my work with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others. My calm and reassuring demeanour helps to create a comfortable and supportive environment for those I care for. Beliefs I strongly believe in the dignity and worth of every person. I am committed to providing respectful and personalized care that honours each individual's unique needs and preferences. I believe in fostering independence and empowering those I support to live their best lives. My approach to care is holistic, focusing not only on physical needs but also on emotional and social well-being. Hobbies and Interests In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that help me stay balanced and energized. I love baking and cooking in my free time as this helps me relax. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, and swimming as this allows me to appreciate nature and stay active. Education and Skills I have a solid educational background in Nursing and i have vast knowledge in elderly care, dementia care, those that have had a stroke, those that suffer from Parkinson and many other chronic conditions. I am proficient in medication administration, mobility assistance, personal care, etc and on the other hand I am always eager to learn new techniques and best practices in healthcare. What I Am Best At I excel in building strong, trusting relationships with my clients and their families. My strengths lie in my ability to listen actively, communicate effectively, and provide tailored care that meets individual needs. I am particularly skilled in creating structured routines that promote stability and comfort for those I support. My attention to detail ensures that all aspects of care are meticulously managed. Dreams and Aspirations My ultimate dream is to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those I care for. I aspire to continually improve my healthcare skills and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. My goal is to one day lead a team of dedicated healthcare workers. I look forward to the opportunity to support and care for you or your loved ones, bringing my passion and dedication to every interaction. As I’ve added cooking as one of my hobbies, I would be able to prepare home cooked meals which would be nutritious and well balanced. I do kind a make home cooked scones (smile) as well. As a qualified nurse there will be roles I would be willing to undertake when a post comes along that will require nursing care such as PEG/NG feeding, stoma care, Parkinson care, post operative care whereby client will be needing basic physio/exercise at home , post stroke care, catheter care. This would be agreed with the client and family. If a live in opportunity came along that just needed a carer I would also love to be of services as before I became a nurse I was a live in carer and I enjoyed it this the reason for me wanting to get back to one to one care. I would be happy to look after female clients on their own as we as male client on their own. If it is couples that both need caring it would be agreed before hand. I am available to do long placements of up to 6 weeks. If clients want to trial me out first for a minimum of 2 weeks I would also be available. I am quite flexible and would work with the clients needs. I would also be happy to have my 2 hour breaks, however this can also be discussed withe client/family. Every individual would be different. I would be happy for my transport to be covered both ways. I am have been Covid vaccinated and I also get my yearly flu vaccine. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}
