N15 3SE 267000 I have dedicated the past five years of my life to the noble profession of healthcare support work. Providing compassionate care to those in need. My experience has also taught me the value of Adaptability as heath care settings can vary significantly. I have learned to navigate these differences with confidence. Ensuring that I can provide the best support regardless of the environment, helping others and making a positive difference in their lives. I enjoy being an active person in helping the elderly and children, by providing personal care and support to those who are unable to lead their lives on their own and caring and loving are one of my hobbies. By my patience I find my self to be a great carer. Additionally my ability to think on my feet and remain calm under pressure has proven to be invaluable in emergency situations allowing me to provide swift and effective assistance when it is needed most through my work in healthcare support. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}

N22 8HH 204647 Hello, I'm a DBS checked British woman with a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and I have about ten years of experience of working as a carer of the elderly in their own homes (both on a live in and live out basis). I consider my self to be kind, hard working, empathetic and patient as well as having a good sense of humour, and I enjoy being able to support my clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes, and to live life on their terms and with dignity as well as them benefiting from remaining in a familiar environment, and I enjoy getting to know my clients and and what their interests and preferences are as I perform my duties. My current preference is for short term holiday cover care, respite care and post hospital discharge Live in care positions, (generally lasting from about one week to about a month) and I'm also open to doing some ad hoc live-out care visits, in between my live in care assignments. And in addition to working in London, I'm also happy to consider placements across England and possibly other parts of the UK (if the client will cover my return travel expenses from London). Also please note that whilst I passed my driving test when I was 18; as I never owned a car and I haven't driven since then, I prefer placements which are suitable for non-drivers and which are within a short walking distance of amenities such as supermarkets and/or public transport. Most of my caring experience has been supporting mainly elderly clients with a wide range of health conditions including: (early to mid stage) dementia, Parkinson's Disease, hearing and visual impairments, arthritis, diabetes, incontinence care, post operative care, brain injury, cancer, general frailty of old age, and clients with anxiety and depression. And my preference is to work for elderly clients who are still weight bearing and mobile (with or without walking aids and/or light assistance) and who normally require minimal night time assistance (for live in care assignments). I'm happy to assist with all the usual activities of daily living, companionship, admin tasks, collecting prescriptions and prompting medications, personal care, grooming, hygiene, shopping, cooking, housework, laundry, light gardening and accompanying clients to appointments as well as liaising with family members and others involved in the clients' health care as required. After completing my London based university degree in 1997, whilst spending some months travelling and studying Buddhism in India, I met an Australian fellow traveller who mentioned she had been working as a live in carer and that she highly recommended it, which is what originally gave me the idea to enter this work, as caring comes naturally to me and I enjoy working in a home environment also. And in addition to travelling I enjoy reading, listening to music, visiting museums, and art galleries, cooking, and spending time in nature. In addition to the health conditions I've already mentioned that I have experience with, I've also assisted some of my clients to request Occupational Therapy, District Nurse and physiotherapy assessments and GP appointments when required, and I've also cared for several clients some years back who required catheter care and for one client who I assisted with stoma care, so I'm also happy to care for clients with those care needs if the current carer will give me a handover to show me the specific assistance needed with that. I enjoy cooking healthy and nutritionally balanced meals for my clients ( and I'm very experienced at preparing and cooking a good range of dishes that include meat, fish and vegetarian and vegan meals or other special diets such as Kosher food (according to my clients' meal preferences and personal and cultural dietary requirements, as well as taking into account any know food allergies). And I myself follow a vegan diet so I usually prepare my clients' meals separately but I'm happy to eat with my clients to keep them company if they wish. And most of my previous clients have provided me with a negotiable modest pre-agreed weekly food budget to cover my meals during live-in care placements (usually of about £40 per week). Also whilst my preference is to work either within the Greater London area or the South East, I'm also happy to travel up to about 100 miles in any direction from London (to fixed term live-in care placements which are located within short walking distance of food shops/amenities), as long as the client is willing to cover all or most of my return economy class travel expenses to and from placements (within a pre-agreed limit). Also in terms of my availability for fixed term/short term live in placements, I'm next available from the afternoon of 05/02/23 for assignments lasting anything from about one week up to about a month at a time. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and please don' t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss your care requirements with me. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

N16 0JT 76416 I have a back ground working with (CBOs ) Community Based Organisations. In my line of work I have always met people with different needs in terms of their well being. Listening to those people made me wanting to help them more and most especially reassuring and creating confidence in them. I have worked on a project called EPP, expert patient programme and this, introduced me to people who had a variety of health issues/ long term conditions. The programme was to help them manage their conditions .This makes me a superb carer for many patients have passed through my hands. The most fascinating client I have worked with for 5 years who just passed on last month, had a very rare condition called FOP-A rare genetic connective tissue disorder. This client encouraged me to self teach myself about that condition which made me an outstanding carer and I was able to bring more life to him. I have done courses on Mental health and I am in position to care for someone suffering from anxiety, depression etc... I have worked with patients who had stroke and early dementia and I managed them very well. I am passionate about my work caring, kind and always bring joy and happiness when I am on duty. I am experienced and confident, I am trustworthy and I have good communication skills. I always have a listening ear to my clients/patients. I provide emotional support to my clients/patients and I am a self motivated worker as well as dedicated to my job. I also have hands on experience from in-house training on how to use NIV: Non Intensive Ventilation but no certificate. For Live out, I would prefer to work Monday to Friday. For live in position, I am only available for Friday to Monday 2 weekends in a month as I am currently working with a client the other 2 weekends. Also, I am happy to cover areas in about 30 to 40miles . For the position of live in, I would have 2 hours break so Family or Client have to arrange cover for that break time. Bank holidays are charged at double time. Finally, I am a very good team player ,a problem solver and always eager to learn new skills . 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}
