PH33 7LQ 93306 Since over six years I have been working as a carer providing assistance for vulnerable people with maintaining their independence and lifestyle in their own homes. During this time I have gained experience in maintaining high level of confidentiality and providing support and safety for each service user along with respecting their individual wishes and opinions. In the past I had various jobs, but although I have been always committed and hard working, I’ve never felt at the right place until I started to work as a carer. This position gave me sense of fulfillment and meaningfulness and there is nothing more rewarding for me than making difference in someone’s life, even in the most subtle ways. I can describe myself as passionate, reliable, highly empathic and trustworthy. I am insightful and good observant, I notice any changes in someone’s behaviour, routine and health condition. I treat every person, not only at work, as unique individual, without being judgemental. I realise that everybody has a different story, background, health, mental health condition and experiences, and all these factors affect how people think, feel and react. In the same time I can protect my boundaries in a respectful but assertive manner. Since early adolescence I have been interested in human wellbeing, behaviour, emotions and mental health. Till now, I have been continuing to educate myself in my free time through self development ways: books, articles, webinars, training courses, listening to expert’s speeches and channels related to psychology and especially to abuse, trauma and addictions. I must also mention my other supporting role - the main one. Since fourteen years I have been mother to my son and can’t imagine more challenging but also the most rewarding role. It motivates me to gain more knowledge and skills to teach my son how to overcome difficult times in the future, lead meaningful life and be responsible for his own actions. I also look after my three pets and enjoy walks with my dog (and my stalking cat :)). I treat my job position very seriously and try to do my best as it affects not only people who I care for, their family and work colleagues, but in the bigger picture it has also impact on me and my family’s wellbeing. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

PA32 8XU 5985 Hi My name is Gary and I am originally from Scotland although I now work with clients all over the UK. After working for 12 years as a mental health support worker, I decided to broaden my horizons within the social care sector. I now work as a self-employed live-in carer. I work in a person-centred way with a broad range of clients including: physical disabilities, learning disabilities, Parkinson's, dementia, mental illness, palliative care and end of life care. I provide practical and emotional support to help people live a safe and independent life in their own home and community. This includes medication administration, personal care, continence care, moving and handling using hoists and other aids, cooking, cleaning and of course companionship. I am also happy to support clients to go on holiday at home or abroad (I have a wide experience of travel all over the world) I am an animal lover, so pets are no problem. I am also a keen motorcyclist and enjoy cooking. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 3"}
