Hello, please do ask for more details as things are changing from day to day and I might be able to help short or long term. Hello, I am Eamonn. I am from Ireland with 12 years experience in the care industry. I got into this work because I love working and spending time with people and making a real positive difference in their lives. I have experience working with people who have suffered severe brain injuries and a variety of conditions, and some of these clients I still work with. My main duties include companionship, assisting with personal care, and helping to get out and about in the community. I also have a passion for exercise and physiotherapy, and feel that it is so important for everyone to do some everyday. I currently bring one of my clients to the gym every week and assist with transfers to gym equipment and in and out of the swimming pool, I also record all of the exercise that is done so we can see the progress made over time. With one of my other clients - he is an older gentleman, who I help a few mornings a week, with getting up and ready for the day. I also assist him to go walking every day I work with him, this also enables his wife to have some respite, knowing that her husband is in safe hands. This is just a couple of examples. As I have a variety of experience and skills to help in many different ways to make life more enjoyable for my clients and their family’s. Having looked after my elderly parents and palliative care a few years ago, I now help to look after two severely disabled children which provides me with great pleasure to ensure they can live their lives to the full as much as they can. I also look after a young boy with Autism every week. Care is a very specialised job and I see it as a job that needs lots of Patience, understanding, compassion and support.

I have been involved with caring/companionship and looking after peoples well being, being in the Health Profession for many years running my own Health and Wellness Clinic in South Africa which is still in operation. It is very important to me ones enjoyment of life when caring for someone. It has a knock-on effect for the whole family who are able to relax knowing that their loved ones are being looked after well and are happy to be looked after. I am very thoughtful and pro-active in my work and understand how hard it is for them when they are not as capable as before. I take a great deal of time to make my client feel comfortable and enjoy doing what they are interested in. I have many creative hobbies so I am able to keep them occupied. I am familiar with Dementia. I would like to be a companion either 6 weeks on six weeks off or 8 weeks on and 1 month off. But I am also prepared to work with clients around their requirements. Hello all , my name is sue I have worked in the care world for around 35 years I have experience in complex care … peg feeds , tracheostomy care , catheter care , stoma care I gained my experience through working at Weston general hospital from there I joined a agency which took me all over the south west in varied roles being hospitals and community work I enjoy giving my time to those in need , I used to love horse riding but now it’s more dog walking , eating out and having the grandchildren, I love to socialise I am married , been together almost 40 years we have 2 grown up children , Looking forward to meeting you and hoping I can make life a tad easier for you ?
