DE12 6QY 26362 I have been in the Care Industry for about 12years +. At present I am working on behalf of the NHS for Pulse at Home as a Community Support Worker which I really enjoy. I have been doing this for just over 2 yrs now. My daily visits consist of personal care, showering, pad change, change from night wear to day wear, apply cream on body, do the beds, breakfast, give or prompt client to take medication as per Mar Chart or blister pack. Use thicker in drinks where needed, make lunch, tea, wash dishes, dry and put them away. Light house work. Put dirty washing in the machine. If client uses the commode or urine bottle, I can assist client to use them. Catheter care. Most importantly, prioritise my day so I can spend more time with the client chatting to them about their life, past history, about the family. What they like doing as a hobby etc. I always tell my client and family when I take care of a client, I always tell them that it's not about how I want thi gs done!! It's about my client and how they want things doing. About me, I love meeting people from all walks of life. Listen to their stories. I love animals and bird watching. Nature out there is so beautiful. I enyou socialising with my family. I have a large family and get together to Celebrate birthdays or any other occasion. I'm a bit of a television addict as I enjoy watching all the soaps, any animal programs. Love listening to radio 4 (The Archers) when I can. I have a fab sense of humour. I really enjoy going out for coffee and people watching. Love walking my dog. He really is a cutie pie. I'm sure he is half human. 😂😂 Watching chick flicks is my thing or and black and white films. You can't beat watching an Golden Oldie. I have worked in various hospitals, Russell's Hall Hospital - Dudly, Alexander Hospital Redditch, Coventry Hospital, Ripley Hospital, Ilkeston Hospital, Warwick Hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed every shift. I have work in Dialysis for 4yrs which was so interesting. At first I was very nervous but over came my fear after a few weeks. It's such an honour to help people who require help. I have been told many times from client families to clients themselves how I go above and beyond to look after and take care of the clients. I always tell them that the secret is, I look after my clients as I look after my parents and that way you can not go wrong!! Thank you kindly for taking time to read my profile.

DE11 7EZ 298236 I think I am a great Care Professional because I am compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing the best support to those in my care. I take the time to understand the needs and preferences of the person I’m assisting and aim to make their day comfortable, enjoyable, and fulfilling. A typical day for me as a Care Professional would start with a warm greeting and helping with any morning routines, such as getting dressed or preparing breakfast. Throughout the day, I ensure they stay active and engaged, whether it’s by going for a walk, enjoying a hobby, or having meaningful conversations. I’m also attentive to their health needs, ensuring medications are taken on time and meals are prepared with care. I strive to create a positive and supportive environment, treating every person with the respect and dignity they deserve. My goal is to make each day better and brighter for the individuals I care for.

DE24 3BT 42861 For me working as a live-in carer (I would live in my client’s house and work for 4-5-6 weeks in a row then I take a break for 1-2 weeks) is an opportunity to help people live independent, helping them remain in their own home when they may not be able to look after themselves, provide support and remain dignity during all daily activities, protect them from any form of harm or abuse, risk assessment and evaluation to prevent any possible deterioration of their physical or mental health, promote of a positive environment in order to encourage independence for each individual. Ever since I remember myself I have worked with people, around people and caring for people. In my personal life experience I have spent 4 years looking after my mum due to cancer since a young age and for 7 years I was caring for my ex-partner who suffered from kidney failure. I became a carer in 2003. Worked in several residential homes and obtained my NVQ Qualification. I then took on a number of care related courses and training to support my personal development in care, like Moving and Handling, Risk Assessment, First Aid, Food Hygiene and many others. In the past years I helped a few of my disabled acquaintances as a volunteer as and when help was needed. In 2019 I have met absolutely wonderful elderly couple and for two years as a live-in carer I looked after all of their needs in a comfort of their own home. Both of them had moderate and then severe Dementia. We had a lot of fun together, enjoyed walking around Marina, made a BBQ in the summer and get ourselves warm with a lovely cup of tea at the Garden Centre on the cold days of the year. I have worked very closely with the couple’s GP surgery, nurses and other health professionals and authorities to keep this couple healthy, safe and comfortable at all times. I have looked after their medications, post, appointments, food shopping, cooking, house maintenance and laundry as well as every day personal care duties and organising special occasions for them too. During the past two years I have had the privilege to care for a Member of the Order of the British Empire, Mr M.,MBE - the most interesting and clever gentleman and his wife in their own stunning house surrounded by the magnificent and breathtaking views. When I met Mr M. in 2023 his memory and abilities were already affected by neurocognitive disorder. We have managed to remain and keep him in a positive and calm environment every day. As the mornings were the most active times, we had our “Fun Club” time before breakfast when we practiced to stimulate his memory, whistle, playing music or playing with words and making new words. Mr M. was a very content individual when it comes to music that was so important to him. Although he stopped playing piano himself, every time he listened to his music he just closed his eyes and immersed himself into a world on his own filled with music and life memories. I was taking on different house chores every week to keep the household running and participated in cooking meals, serving tables, making fire, food shopping, watering plants inside and in the garden, feeding birds, laundry and dealing with some DIY challenges and even bats in the house :) When I am back from work I love spending time with my family. We enjoy relaxing in the garden, going for a walk and travelling abroad. I am also a massive fan of crafting and could spend hours in my workshop. However lately we are concentrating on the interior of the house and thinking of decorating it soon.

DE23 3EW 180629 I like to describe myself as approachable, a good listener and enjoy helping others. I've been working as a carer/ healthcare assistant for 6 years and during this time I have developed compassionate approach to the care I give to my clients. I enjoy listening to people and gaining an interest in their life so I can help them enjoy their hobbies and to be happy. My hobbies are horse riding, gym, and socialising with friends and family. I also have a few pets at home that I love to care for. I am experienced in personal grooming and I enjoy helping clients look their best. I can assist with hygiene, toileting, eating, cooking, cleaning and any administrative tasks which need support. I have a full clean driving license and enjoy taking clients out to meet friends. I also would like to help assisting in looking after your pet. I have been a carer ever since I left college. I went to college for two years after I left school but I was studying fashion buying. My grandma's health deteriorated and as a family we were helping her out with every day activities. I knew from when I started helping my Grandma that I wanted to work in care because helping someone just came so naturally to me. If I see someone struggling in public all I want to do it go over and help them. I am going to continue doing what I do best, caring for people. Please get in touch if you think I could help you, Id love to hear from you.
