I have worked in residential settings for older people, mental health unit for women and a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. In my previous role, I was a day service organiser. This means I would organise the planning and delivery of the day service. This would include planning activities for service users, holding reviews with other professionals, training new members of staff and much more. I have lots of knowledge and experience working with individuals from all walks of life and with different abilities. I am able to do peg feeds confidently, assist with stoma and colostomy bags, catheters, administering medication as well as being insulin trained. I am confident with moving and handling. Using hoists, rota stands, seated transfers etc. I am a very caring, kind and genuine person. I take pride in my work and the way I care for people. I follow care plans and risk assessments and take every detail in to consideration and implement this within my care. I love to have a laugh but can be serious when needed. I like to work client led, meaning I will work in a way they the individual prefers and make reasonable adjustments when necessary. I have a level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care. I also have senior experience.
