I am naturally patient, kind and caring. I have 9 years experience providing care to those in need in their own homes. Throughout my career, I have developed deep understanding of the needs of those with disabilities, elderly and those with chronic illnesses. I am a compassionate and reliable professional who puts the needs of clients first and goes above and beyond to ensure their comfort and safety. I also take pride in my ability to establish strong connections with clients, while providing the highest level of care and support. I possess excellent communication skills and am able to quickly build rapport with clients, as well as their families and caregivers. My attention to detail and commitment to providing quality care have always been highly praised by my employer following positive feedback from clients regarding my work and performance. I am confident that I possess the skills and experience necessary to excel in looking after people with dementia both early and late stages, palliative care, chronic conditions like diabetes, COPD, asthma, stoma care, PEG feed, tracheostomy care, catheter care, continence issues and those people recovering from Stroke. I am a qualified nurse by profession and I do live in nursing which includes supporting people with personal grooming, administration of medication, cooking, cleaning and gardening and keeping the house homely. In addition to my registered nurse qualifications, I have certificates in Neurogenic Bowel management, Catheterisation, Sepsis awareness and Mandatory &Statutory Training Course which covers (moving and handling, Safeguarding of adults, infection prevention and control, health safety and welfare). Additionally, I am able to provide compassionate and emotional support to clients in non judgmental and non intrusive manner. I believe in person centred care and promote independence to those under my care. I respect people’s boundaries and preferences. I am keen to know their life stories and channel care guided by those. So memory boxes act as an essential tool in people with dementia. I love to make people feel at ease as I am approachable, flexible and reliable. I approach work with the highest level of sensitivity and understanding. I always desire to help people in achieving the best possible outcome regarding their activities of daily living. When I am relaxing, far from work, I like reading, watching documentaries and films on Netflix, listening to music and travelling. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you think I can help you.
