I am UK born. I have worked in Travel, in Schools & most recently in the Care Sector as a Healthcare Assistant. This was in a residential home which specialised in the care of Dementia related needs. I chose this change of career into Care because of my mother. She was diagnosed with Dementia in 2018 and passed away in January 2022. Her illness changed mine & my family’s world. Whilst caring for her at home I decided I wanted to give something back to others who were in the same situation as mum, also with the hope that I could gain more experience for myself & for my mother’s needs. I was lucky to have been giving this opportunity & I worked in a Barnet Care Home for a year & a half. My experiences with Dementia & Palliative Care have been invaluable and I would now like to help other families care for their loved ones at home, in their own safe & familiar environment, with dignity & as much independence as possible. Dementia is an emotional rollercoaster to navigate, I have been there & I understand. My responsibilities are a 17 year old son, a 90 year old father & a labradoodle dog. I am a practising Catholic but am open to all faiths. I have a clean driving license and am happy to drive within an approx 5 mile radius from home.
