Born as the elder of the two girls in a family of 9 meant responsibilities of taking care of my siblings from the word 'go'. I took care of my younger cousins too, at one time I had 10 children to take care of at the age of 18, one of which was 6 months old. That was hard but I managed it even in a language foreign to me. This was in Botswana in 1978 where my uncle lived and I came from Zimbabwe. I had a scholarship to train as a fashion cutter and designer in Germany between 1979 and 1983. During my free hours and weekends I took care of a 67 year old lady who needed help with cleaning the biggest mansion I ever set foot into. That was fun. I escorted her to shopping and sometimes to hospital appointments in a taxi. I later years during the AIDS epidermic in the late 80's and early 90's, I took care of several victims especially on my husbands side. It was heartbreaking to experience the anguish of the affected families. I arrived in the UK during very turbulent political times in Zimbabwe and was accepted as an asylum seeker just after the turn of the new millennium. I started working as a carer beginning of 2002 and was with the same company untill 2010. Besides this company I also worked with several care urgencies during the same time. I also did a degree in Business Information Systems completing in June 2010 and failed to get a job in the field due to the great economic slump of those years. I continued gaining loads of experience in care, besides acquiring NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care. In 2015 I went to Sweden to do a MSc in Business Intelligence at Darlana University at Borlange town. I did not finish the challenging training but rather learnt the Swedish language and was fluent enough to work under the Borlänge town council in their big nursing homes. What a massive experience that was. I got acquainted with almost all sorts of ailments affecting the elderly, besides a wide range of equipment and super training. I relocated back home to England end of 2019 after getting a job as live-in-carer with TheGoodCareGroup. I had excellent training with them and have been working as a live in carer with them eversince. The list of all my capabilities is on my profile. I can manage patients with almost anything, best of all "End of life care". I did that a lot in Sweden. Most of all I have dealt with all stages of dementia care. I am reliable, caring, fun and companionable. I am educated and can discuss any subject intelligently. I can coach the elderly in using the computer. I love to attend church services and I usually go to church saturday because I am a 7th Day Adventist Christian. I am a very fast learner, flexible and interested especially in anything educational. I can cook fairly well besides I can follow recipes very well. I am a top notch housekeeper. For me tidiness and cleanliness are like a religion. I love health eating and mostly eat vegetarian. I love the gym and can try any equipment in the gym.

Very Good

Mavis - because that what we called her - cared for my badly disabled father for six months. Throughout we found her a reliable, committed and a high-quality carer. Always with a smile, a pleasure to work with. Chris
