During these months...More Began my Care career in February 2020, just after I had arrived in the country. I became a Healthcare Assistant at a Care Home. It appears I started working as a Healthcare Worker right on time, and very shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, the lockdown, and the staff shortages. During these months, I had the opportunity to really prove myself as a valuable member of the team. I became support staff and was working almost every night shift, by choice to help where I could. It was a difficult time for all, and I gained invaluable experience. I was nominated by several of my colleagues and superiors to be fast-tracked to senior. I am immensely proud to have been considered and I was extremely competent at running shifts and supervising my team on duty. Together we had continuously very smooth-running shifts. In June 2020, I was awarded Employee of the Month. I hold that title with great pride, and I hope to have the opportunity to prove myself in your organisation too. I have empathy, compassion and am a natural carer and nurturer. Caring, I discovered, came naturally to me.
