Hi, my name is Szilard. I am a Hungarian from Budapest. For those who finds the spelling of my name difficult, just call me Sid as most of my clients do.
Have my own transport and yes, I can cook.
Here in England I live in Hampshire.
I have been working as a self-employed live in carer for more than 5 years now. Before that I worked in a care home and for a care agency as live in carer.
I completed different trainings and aquired certificates through the years. Among others, the care certificate, first aid, moving and handling, medications administration and anxiety.
I have experience in stroke, cerebral palsy, dementia, Alzheimer’s, catheter care, using different types of hoists, doing personal care and grooming. I work closely other professionals, nurses, physiotherapysts. That’s the reason I can assists clients in their daily physio and help their recovery.
I think I became a carer after reaching a certain level of maturity. I don’t know wether it was early or late, but it happened around my fourtiest birthday when I heard that call from somewhere deep in my soul. At that time, I just lost interest in my previous job mainly banking and finance. I didn’t feel accomplished and satisfied anymore. So, after short twists and turns I ended up here in the UK and started to work as a carer. It was quite dramatic change, but after a short time I realized that I decided wisely as I get exactly what I really missed in my previous roles. Thanks to caring, I feel satisfied in my role again. As I gained experience and practice I became more confident and I am enjoying my work to the full.
After a short time in care it became obvious to me that I can give my full potential as a live-in carer. In this way I have a better chance to build up confidence and get ro know the client better.
The client’s positive feedbacks and the recognition toward my work makes it worth of being away from home and from my loved ones.
Personally, I lead a healthy life, don’t smoke, eat healthy, work-out on daily basis. I like reading, arts, exhibitions, theatre.During work I usually spend my teo hours break for looking after myself and work-out. These activities keep me in balance and fit.
I don’t smoke, but no problem if the client does. I prefer dogs over cats, used to take 2 hours break daily. I charge bankholidays at double rate.
Thank you for your attention.
Kind regards
Szilard
