I have many years experience and I have been lucky to work for some fabulous people of all ages with differing needs. I have supported wheelchair bound and motor, visually and hearing impaired children within schools and also adults at home and both have gained me valuable experience which I can bring to any new positions. My most recent role was as a Personal Assistant to a lady with Demetia who has recently gone into full time care which gives me some availability to care for another client. Prior to that I cared for a lady with a brain injury who was both cognitive and motor impaired. I assisted both ladies within their homes with all aspects of housekeeping and personal care but also helped them to access the community by taking them to organized activities, shopping and any medical appointments needed but mostly we became friends and valued companions. I have Diplomas in both Social Studies and Counselling Skills. I am currently studying for a Cache Level 2 in Health and Social Care which I have completed and awaiting my certificate. I spend my free time with my family, my grandchildren keep me busy along with my diva dog Peggy. Along with caring for others I enjoy walking and am a bit of a telly addict, I also love to read. I am physically fit and healthy. I am a non smoking car owner. I am one hundred percent honest and reliable with a fantastic attendance record. I can supply recent references to support my Profile and hold a Current Full Enhanced DBS check.

Excellent

Wendy has been an absolute Godsend! She is a genuinely kind and caring person. She's reliable and helpful and her communication and updates are great. We live 4 hours away from my mother-in-law and Wendy has been wonderful, looking after her, taking her to visit her husband in his care home, and more recently, visiting the MIL in hospital, ensuring regular visits from a friendly face - she loves Wendy! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her - you'll love Wendy too! :)

Excellent

Wendy has been brilliant with my Dad and unlike most other carers who have been caring for him. She is totally reliable (a great help for me), kind, engaging, and constantly on the lookout for what she can learn about her client so as to better care for them. I'm really sorry that Dad's had to leave home and I won't see Wendy any more because she has become like a friend to me too, supporting us all. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Excellent

Wendy has been caring for my Dad for 6 months, and unfortunately we had to increase my dads care other wise we’d have loved Wendy to keep coming! She is professional and kind. She cares in a holistic way - paying attention to people’s body language and adapting to people’s needs. It’s been very reassuring to my sister and I to know that Wendy would be going to our Dad’s every morning - he really liked her and her calm presence reassured him too. We would highly recommend Wendy.
