I am a very hard-working person and I enjoy working with others and individually. I am very confident and friendly. I recognise the importance of having strong moral values and showing respect and dignity for others and trying to be polite. I can adapt well to any environment and enjoy meeting new people. I would like to use my skills to contribute positively to any work situation, and willing to undertake further training where required. During the 7 years i have worked as a support worker and health care assistant. I have worked in nursing homes, people with physical, mental health care and for those with learning difficulties and for those who are struggling with drug or alcohol addictions. And have provided friendly, warm and personal care for the elderly with dementia, younger adults. My task was to assist patients with basic hygiene activities. Observing, monitoring and recording patients’ conditions. Communication with patients’, assisting with clinic duties. Helping them with their personal care which include infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety. And generally promoting our residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care. i have also done Domiciliary care and was visit people in their own homes to assist with household tasks, personal care and occasionally accompanying the client on visits to the doctor or hospital. Making sure we provide a full range of personal care from assisting with washing and dressing in the morning to aiding with toileting during the day and maintaining their hygiene, as well as helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills. Also assisting someone who is fully mobile but has dementia and requires assistance with cooking and cleaning.
