I have worked in health and social care industry for the past 20 years covering different fields . My passion for nursing stems from my belief in the intrinsic value of human life and the importance of providing holistic care that addresses not just physical health but emotional and psychological well-being as well. I understand that navigating health challenges can be daunting and emotional, and I strive to provide support, reassurance, and education to empower patients in their care journey. My empathy and active listening skills enable me to build trusting relationships, fostering an environment where patients feel safe and valued. I have experience working with people who have brain injuries, dementia, different mental health illnesses, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. I also worked with young people and adults in the community assisting them with clinical care including medication administration, Peg feeding, liaising with other health professionals and assisting with activities of daily living. I have the ability to connect with patients and their families. During all the years I worked in healthcare industry I gained a lot of experience, as well as boosting my knowledge, practice and understanding. I therefore now feel that I am ready to take on new challenges and utilise my skills, experience and knowledge. I am also able to use my initiative, prioritise tasks and I am fully aware of the concept of confidentiality. I also have the ability to relate to patients and meet their needs, with a sense of understanding, patience and respect. I am able to follow care plans and individual’s risk assessments. I also have a lot of experience in maintaining a safe environment at work as well as making sure that resources are utilised effectively .
