I am thankful that my parents taught me Cantonese from a young age, and helped me to be a good cook and baker. I love cooking freshly fluffy scones, Soy marinated Wagyu beef with fresh vegetables and slow simmering sweet onions to make onion soup. I’m a food junkie and love to explore different restaurants to experience a variety of cuisines. I love to be active so whenever the weather is nice I try to go walking in the countryside with my dog, Milo (safe to say I sometimes enjoy it more than he does). A few of years ago, right out of the blue, my caring, strong, hard working, older mother was diagnosed with dementia. I mention it here because I understand and empathise how difficult it is to see a loved one becoming so vulnerable and confused with her life. I was already working in care, but mainly with younger people with higher support needs. My mum's experience made me look again at caring for older client's, and just how rewarding that can be. I have 7 years experience within the care sector. This is how I would sum up my job. I love caring and being with people and adjusting to people’s needs. Helping and supporting clients with their needs. Build trust and friendship with my clients. It’s my passion. My availability is weekends but can help out in the evenings.
