I have been working in the care industry for the majority of the past 7 years. I started off working with the elderly before taking a break in 2018 to travel to Kenya where I taught mental health awareness. Upon returning I did some mental health work and then began caring for children and younger adults with disabilities where I completed a variety of qualifications from understanding autism to mental health. I have worked supporting a variety of people who face both physical and mental challenges. I am very experienced in working with autism and learning difficulties. I also have a lot of recent experience with moving & handling, peg feeds and handling medication. I am trained in epilepsy and have done my Level 1 in Makaton. I have business insurance and am able to use my car for work purposes so can take people out if required. I am very outgoing and am always willing to learn, I enjoy walking and discovering new things as well as staying in and baking. I have 2 children and dogs who I love to be busy with in my spare hours. I will only support those I’m confident I can help make a positive difference in their lives.
