I have more than 10 years experience in caring for adults and young people with physical and mental health needs I have good working experience with both adults and young people who have diagnosis of learning disability , autism and mental health issues. I am good at using full hoisting, Sarah steady, wheel chair, profiling bed, bed pan, commode, recliner chair . I am trained to administer oral medications. I am good at providing personal hygiene - full body wash, grooming , pad management and regular change of clothes to match the weather conditions. I have good cooking skills - I can make good English breakfast, roast meals , sandwiches and can support with feeding. I can support clients with pets, e.g. cat and with dogs ( risks assessment required). I can undertake basic household tasks such as house cleaning, laundry and light grocery shopping. I can support clients with social stimulation activities like going to Bingos, taking a walk, pub etc. I prefer to work with male clients ; however can support females if personal hygiene is not required/ better still work jointly with another care staff. I have a car and business insurance . I am mostly available on weekends - Friday night to Sunday evening. In some cases can do sleep in and evening cover during the week. Friday waking night, Saturday day, Saturday waking night, Sunday day etc. I have good communication and listening skills. I am flexible and can work to meet tight deadlines. I have good knowledge of legislations in care and social care I can apply legislation such as care act 2014, anti discriminatory law equality law etc in my day to day practice. I am aware of the process of raising safeguarding where required.
