I have been in the care sector for around 15 years, I absolutely love being there and helping other people. I was working in a dementia care home looking after people with early through to late stages of the awful disease. I also cared for a lovely gentleman with Parkinson’s. I've now chosen to go the domiciliary route in caring as I’m all about the one to one care, I’m very happy to assist with shopping, getting out and about,
I enjoy all aspects of cleaning, washing & ironing.
I have recently passed my driving test.
The last few years I have been caring for 2 family members and also my partner who has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I assist him with checking his blood sugar levels also administering insulin. Diet is very important to me, I’m very happy to discuss meal plans with clients to find out their likes & dislikes.
I’m very happy to liase with multi disciplinary teams. Which I have experience in.
My hobbies include: visiting family, eating out, cooking, cleaning, going for walks, tv, films, reading, puzzles, games.

Rachel is a good, hardworking carer who knows how to talk to people with dimentia . she has a bubbly personality, which works great with my mum, and she always knows the right thing to say to her to keep her calm.

Excellent
Rachel has been excellent around the house. She has been even better with my wife helping her with exercises and caring for her in general. Rachel has been a breath of fresh air compared to the old company we were using.
